in thier first tour of the US I'd say. No one here even knows they exist. They would be well served to open for a band like the FOO FIGHTERS. I know they liked Oasis ....They did a cover "tho shitty" of lyla. After creating a buzz they could do a second leg of small theater gigs. Probably a year away from them hitting stateside though

wouldn't be a bad ideal whatsoever. I like the Foo FIghters, maybe do what they were thinking of doing with Weezer a couple of years ago(when they were still Oasis)??

Liam has never been too fussed about America and wouldn't bother going there if Beady Eye were to support another band, he'll only go if there's enough demand for headline gigs.

Why go to the States? They wont chart here. Anyone thinking a full blown US tour is outta their mind.. Small clubs only hitting a few major cities... BOS-NYC-PHIllY-LA
That would be the format if they even thought about a US tour

They'll take a look at where they land in the US charts, then plan their tour accordingly. DOYS peaked at #5. I don't see that happening unless they've got an insanely catchy single.

No chance they play the Mercury Lounge. Bit too small. Santos Party House would be great, but also small. Andrew WK owns that place.
Beady Eye obviously are a new act, but Oasis' fanbase is still large, especially in NYC. Bowery Ballroom seems the likely destination, maybe Terminal 5. Id want to say the Beacon but with that being managed by MSG it seems highly unlikely as its pretty much a prestige place now and would be the most expensive ticket of the lot. Webster Hall would also be a candidate. Id bet on the Bowery. Terminal 5 if they're lucky (lucky meaning interest).
There is no US release date scheduled.
We're looking at a while before they come stateside unless they just explode. Only Oasis fans are going to care right now.
The first NA Beady Eye tour will go: Toronto, NYC, maybe Boston, maybe Philly, maybe DC, Chicago, maybe Seattle, maybe Vegas, Los Angeles. Boston and Philly are not locks.

Did you see the chart numbers? It was a rea;;y slow week wt no big name releases. Only reason they made it that far up!

I'd be surprised if they didnt come to the US at some point. You cant boast that you have the best album since DM and not back it up state side. What BDI, should do is do small club gigs and some summer festivals in the US. With summer festivals they can piggy back on other artists and still get the large crowds and exposure that they want.
Only saw 1 person mention Chicago. I'd be surprised if they didnt hit Chicago. They could easily play the House of Blues and fill it up or if they want they could get a spot in Lollapalooza. They would beat a lot of the smaller bands that try for it easily.
BDI's best bet state side are small club gigs and summer festivals.

If they do play DC, thats where I'd expect them to. If they get bigger, Constitution Hall. Hell, Id go down to Richmond if they were going to play The National Theatre. Arguably my favorite venue on the entire East Coast. No chance in hell they play fucking Richmond though If I lived in Toronto and they played Sound Academy, I'd not go WORST venue in the entire Eastern time zone.

I've been to the 930 Club more than several times over the last 4 years. I got great views when seeing The Arctic Monkeys, and was in what could be considered the 5th row (standing, of course) for both Stars and Los Campesinos. IE, you can get incredibly close, incredibly easily at that venue. I would love to see the lads there.

Beady Eye would def hit Chicago, probably one of the top five concert cities in America! I'd love to see them at Lolla, I went this year and it was a fantastic time, but I can't see them dedicating summer to American festivals when there are so many going on in Europe at the same time (where the demand is obviously much higher). That would be great. Boston: TT The Bears/The Middle East Downstairs/Paradise New York: Bowery Ballroom/Mercury Lounge/Terminal 5 Philly: First Utilitarian Church Washington DC: 930 Club There you go, east coast club tour! sounds good to me theimportance, regarding boston, what do you think about the house of blues? i think that joint would be great The HoB is a cool place! A lot of people give it shit for being a Ticketmaster sponsored venue, but it's a cool place. The decorations are a little gaudy, but the sound is good! I'm actually gonna see quite a few concerts there next year, they're having a great 2011 already! I do think it'd be a little too big though. Bands like Interpol and Bright Eyes are playing there and, while Oasis are bigger then both of them, Beady Eye is not (and probably will not). I'd be cool with most venues in Boston, I've so far been to all of the main ones except TT The Bears (though my first concert next year is gonna be there, very excited! , and all of them are cool places with their own vibe. The only place I would NEVER want Beady Eye (or any decent band for that matter) to play at would be the Royale. A piece of shit venue with horrible sound and horrible atmosphere; they just built the place but I'd have no problem if they tore it right down. I think the Paradise would be ideal. 750 capacity, good history of "rare" British bands (first Manic Street Preachers show in Boston for over ten years!), and it's an amazing venue overall.
