Beady Eye are set to premiere the video for new song 'The Roller' exclusively on NME.COM on Boxing Day (December 26). Watch the video on the right for a preview clip of the song, which is taken from Liam Gallagher and co's forthcoming album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding'. The full video will go online on NME.COM at 10am (GMT) on Boxing Day. Although Beady Eye have recorded a video for 'The Roller', it is not scheduled to be released as a single. Speaking in the Christmas issue of NME, which is on sale across the UK and available to order online now, Gallagher said he believes 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' is as good as Oasis' debut album 'Definitely Maybe'. The album is out on February 28 next year. www.nme.com/news/beady-eye/54311I'm confused, they're referring to a sneak preview of the song (being "the Roller") on the right, but that's actually the sneak preview for "Four letter word"?

It seems there is a mix up between Four Letter Word and The Roller so? Which one is it

Dunno if the explenation in the video section is wrong, or in this article... I don't think that the video is The Roller though, I can't spot a Lennon-esque piano hook. Maybe there has been a mix-up and they'll upload a preview of The Roller also?

Some one goofed. But there is no way that the video preview shown currently is The Roller after everything we've heard about the track.

As we all know, The Roller has been around for a while as it was fist mentioned years ago as a possible track on an upcoming Oasis album. Judging from that sound clip, however, I cannot see that song being done by Oasis. Therefore, methinks that it must be a 'Beady Eye' song, such as 'Four Letter Word.'

it's FLW
Someone must have messed up when initially writing it up on the NME site.
The Roller isn't being shown until Channel 4 show it in the UK as has been discussed thanks to Mr Monobrow

If it's a TV exclusive then what happens online makes no difference. Just a case of waiting and seeing what further changes the NME make to the page, but the fact that they changed the text from FLW to The Roller makes me think that it's The Roller.

It's the song that I am most interested in hearing in full personally. The first 20 second didn't thrill me but I loved the last 10 seconds...I'm very interested in what the whole thing will sound like.

I agree...at least I hope so for a few of them. I just mean that The Roller was the song I was most annoyed that it cut-out when it did. I wonder who decides what clips are used for preview on iTunes?

Its pretty clear that the new clip is "four letter word". I'm hoping "the Roller" is the 1st single.

The Roller should be a proper single if it's as good as I am hoping it is. Thing is that Four Letter word doesn't really sound that great to me. I guess I just wait a little while longer.

I'd like to know that too. How on earth do you "accidentally" put something on iTunes. Maybe it was a corrupt co-worker fro, Itunes or so? Or a tactical move from the management from BDI?" Let's face it; for us the biggest fans it was an amazing thing, but for the normal fans, or everybody else in the world nothing happened. It's even not that easy tot find something about it on the internet...

Agreed. It doesn't have a very large ripple effect as far as the people outside of this community. It's difficult to even find the 30 sec clips now. Maybe it was just a "taster" for the real fans?

Its pretty clear that the new clip is "four letter word". I'm hoping "the Roller" is the 1st single. Yeah from what I gather, FLW is just going to be another preview track like BTL shown online and released as a limited vinyl. But I assume this time they won't give away the mp3 for free. And then 'The Roller' will be the first real single. With proper release and video premiere et al. Or at least I hope. Looking forward to the bsides as well.

I'm loving the marketing so far, granted Bring the light didnt blow us away but this tunes been great. Also i love it that the album has 13 tracks and not 11 or 10 as some albums do nowadays. Hearing the 30 sec preview clips was great. Its always brilliant hearing a new Oasis (or BDI) song for the first time but i cant wait to hear the rest of the album. Good times are coming !
