I admit i was thrown off the first few listens. But then i played it in my car, loudly, and it's pure thrashing fun rock n roll. It captures that spirit of Oasis i haven't heard in them since the mid 90's. That mood where you just wanna go nuts and be crazy.
And that break down where liam softly sings the "c'mon" is fucking fantastic, with like this motown vibe. There's nothing really cooler sounding than motown, such a great moment.
It's rock n roll back to the earliest sounds, jerry lee lewis and all that. It's about time that sound got an update. I realized that it's over the heads of many blunt brained fans, but i think it's pretty fantastic.

Didnt like the song much at all when it first came out, hearing it on tv the odd day (On Sky Sports) and blasting it out in your car, i just got to like it much more. I'm glad its not a proper single and was just a free giveaway. For that its pretty good

A great song but I just hope the intro was a bit stronger.

I've grown of fond of Bring The Light as well. I listen to it every day and it keeps getting better.

I'm loving it as well. Like many of the fans on here I think that at first I (we) was (were) taken aback, but, it's got a great sound to it. I'm so pleased that I received a copy on vinyl because it sounds top on vinyl played really loud. I'm glad that people are coming around to it. We're all fans of Liam and the rest of the lads and I think it's great that people are digging the sound.

I initially hated BTL and loved SOTS, but now I find myself playing BTL way more often than SOTS. Both are good tunes, tho.

Havent actually played either for a while, instantly loved SOTS but took longer for me to come round to BTL. Now I know it like the back of my hand and its like an old, familiar friend when i hear it (already!)

Still think BTL is only decent. It just hasnt grown on me. I forgot it pretty pretty quickly. I cant listen to a song that I only find to be decent, over and over again.

BTL never stood up to the baited-breath expectations of hardcore fans of such material: however if it turns up unexpected on the radio, it sounds great compared to a lot of the dross that is played before and after.....it really stands out on that score.

Bring the Light is one of the best 'Oasis based' songs since the 90's.

it's definitely not shit. but it's not great. just decent enough. I do love the sound of the girls backing vocals and liam's singing is very good

I feel the same as I always did about it. OK but not great. Not worthy of intense admiration but also not deserving of intense scorn.
Crap lyrics, too long. Like the female voices. Nice that they used a piano but if was a bit lackluster in application. Liam sounds decent. It got some energy to it which is nice.

It's alright. I don't really see how it's such a polarizing song. To me, it's just...there. It's certainly not bad, but I would never call it pure awesome. No offense meant, though, just my take on it.

Its a tune, lyrics are pretty basic and its stolen from a few songs from past decades but like TSOTL you stick that on loud when your having a beer and getting ready for a night out or a gig and it does its job.
Its fun, not taking itself too serious and it makes people upbeat and happy. So to me good/bad don't come into it, it just simply does its job in giving me the feeling or sensation I need from it. There will be other songs to fill the void that BTL doesn't so I think it will be complemented better on the album and sound absolutely rockin' live.

It's a fun, light hearted and energetic tune. Nothing special, but not crap by any means, either.

I don't get why people dig SOTS so much, probably just cause it's sounds like oasis. That song counts as "Just there" for me.

I think the best way to sum up both songs is that they both aim to be simple, fun, energetic songs, but those types of tunes really only work with a strong, catchy hook behind it. I don't blame BDI for SOTS lacking one, because it's a cover. But BTL is in dire need of a true chorus, in my opinion. I think of that song the way Noel thinks of Boy With The Blues.
