1. Souldigger - you are not supposed to be starting threads.
2. The songs might be great, but they will fail to grasp hold of the social situation and thus will not be as impactful or as long remembered. Simple fact.

Although you are more then likely going to be right, we can't judge them until we've heard them.

OMG this thread is even more pointless than anything NL4E ever created. Really Souldigger, you deserve a medal for this.

Well my least favorite song on DM is probably Digsy's Dinner...and I still love that more than BTL...so already the songs aren't better from my perspective. But he had a good point in saying that the musicians are better than in Oasis circa DM. Totally true. The only real questions are the songwriters and the singer. Because although Liam may sound better there is no way he is going to sound better than he did in 1994. Look @ footage of Liam singing obviously off his head on drugs and drink 1994-1997ish live and then listen to the BTL/SOTS vocals. They can't even recreate that quality that Liam had live then in studio...there is no way. Although he had that quote out that he didn't like his voice on those first 2 albums because they sounded too soft or something. Maybe he legitimately prefers his raspy voice now. Liam seems to have been let loose to a certain extent...that is nice. I think that BDI very well might put a little more effort into aesthetics than Oasis, which will be refreshing. It might still be a bit hit 'n miss but I can imagine Liam getting very involved with things looking cool.
