Liam Gallagher has told NME that he thinks Beady Eye's debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' contains songs "as good as 'Definitely Maybe', if not better".
The singer was speaking in a world-exclusive interview in this week's Christmas issue of NME, on UK newsstands tomorrow (December 15) and available digitally worldwide.
He declared the album, out February 28, a "fucking top debut".
Gallagher said: "The musicians are better [than Oasis circa-'Definitely Maybe'], without a doubt. I'm singing as well as I ever have." He added that the album is "up there, no question" with 'Definitely Maybe' and added that "we're gonna be fucking massive".
Elsewhere in the interview Gallagher gave his views on new bands including The Vaccines and Brother. He branded the former "boring" and accused Brother of being "little fucking posh lads with tattoos".
Liam also spoke about his relationship with Noel Gallagher following Oasis' split in August 2009.

That's really not a good jacket is it? But, if the music is good, he can wear what he wants for all I care. I won't be buying the £10,000 Pretty Green Leopard-skin outfit though.

Haha brilliant, the jacket is what i love about Liam these days, hes gone a bit mad but clearly still doesnt give a f**k, and it gets people talking.
Its all getting rather exciting now

Excited for this. The problem is that I live in the US and although I have a subscription to NME I always have to wait at least a week later to get it in the mail. I'm sure scans will be up soon enough though, huh?

That quote about not having any sort of relationship with his brother was a bit depressing, though.

Andy looks 10 times cooler with short hair and them glasses on that he sometimes wears. They do look pretty cool for a band in and around there 40's though.

Just noticed that with Noel and Liam's quotes about Victoria Beckham writing a book are basically the same. Not being able to walk and chew a piece of gum @ the same time let alone write a book.
They must've had a conversation about that in the dressing room @ some point. LOL
Or did they misquote one of them?
