Have you seen this coments on facebook??
Steve White status - Beady eye are the new tremeloes
Steve White- Men in their 40s copying a band from the 60s that split up when they were in their 20s , just a humble opinion
Steve White - Because every band of the time that tried to be the Beatles failed miserably , Beady eye can't even be Oasis ! Just an observation , back off to a bit of Miles Davis
Raquel Gómez - This is so uncalled-for. 'Men in their 40s copying a band from the 60s that split up when they were in their 20s'? Meaning, when you're on your forties you can't do whathever you want to do anymore? What are they suppossed to do, jazz? For god's sake.
Steve White - Just an observation Raquel , not meant to be uncalled for , but a fact , stupid promo picture , logo straight from the EMI font . Same sterile sneer that promises so much but delivers so little , just off to listen to Rubber soul and a bit of Ed Sheeran
Sean Kelly - Olly Murs.
Steve White- I'm with sean , although his new single does sound a lot like a song by dodgy ?
Damon Minchella - the Real People wrote all the early oasis tunes, and the only decent one since those glory years was Importance Of Being Idle, which Noel robbed off Marco Nelson.....so no suprise this is utter shite.
Steve White - i think Tony McCarrol in his new book pretty much supports what Damon says , the trouble is by the time these scenarios become apparent one party usually has the backing of a major record companies legal dept and the other party doesnt

Is that supposed to be Steve White like Alan White brother?
Even Tony doesn't say that most of the songs were written by the Real People.
If that is him and this exchange is true he's a bit of a douche.

Exchange is on White's Facebook page: Remember his rants a couple of years back about his brother leaving Oasis? Agenda much? ;D Doesn't matter in the slightest. He's heard one non-cover Beady Eye song like the rest of us.

Great drummer, alongside his brother Alan the two of them were my main inspiration to learn drums.
Really not surprised about these comments though, I spoke to Steve a few years back and he was quite upfront about how little respect he has for both Liam and Noel. I'd guess it has something to do with they way his brother was sacked from Oasis back in 2004.

Sick of this shit about the real people writing some of the early stuff. If they are such great songwriters why the fuck haven't they written anything of any worth for their own band. theres only one guy with the talent. Noel Gallagher.
Steve White and Damon Minchella ain't got a leg to stand on. One played drums for The Modfather who is hardly forward looking and the other was the bass player for Ocean Colour Scene possibly the most unoriginal, uninspired bands that has ever graced a stage.

Just found some comments Steve made about his brothers treatment when sacked from Oasis from an interview a few years back...
Steve White: "There were some disputes about meetings. I wasn't there so I couldn't comment. What you would get would be a story from either side. I am sure they've all got their opinions, and I respect that. The bottom line is that Alan got a call four days before Christmas from 'The Manager', and he was told he was out of the band. And he hasn't seen or heard from Noel or Liam since."
White continues: "All Alan wanted, was to have a pint of Stella, and the guys to say what we want is to get Zak Starkey in, as we don't think you're right for us anymore. Alan would have had no problem with that, as nothing lasts forever. But it was just the circumstances of the events which were shocking. They shocked me, and they hurt Alan.
"…(Alan) would love to play again, but I think he was really hurt the way it was done, with Oasis. But he wasn't the first musician that it had happened to.
"But for someone like Liam, and Noel, who presents this image: I am tough, I am hard, and I can take on anyone. They couldn't stand there, face to face, with Alan, I don't like that."
According to Wikipedia, the Gallaghers paid White nearly £350,000 to buy him out of Oasis's company Definitely Maybe. White played on four Oasis albums between 1995 and 2004, but is now a property developer.

The whole Alan White thing really hasn't come to light, has it?
There's talk of missing band meetings but that's not really enough to sack someone - and for all their revolving door of drummers the Gallaghers have been loyal over the years (a decade with Gem & Andy, Marcus has been their manager since the early days, Jason Rhodes, etc).
I wonder what really happened?

Frankly I think they're both a bit stupid for griping over Facebook.
There were also rumors of a fight between Liam and Alan according to Noel. I remember Noel saying something about "in a fight between your brother and the drummer...I'm afraid you have to side with your brother."
I could see why they might resent the man being dead weight by 2004 though. When you look @ the work that everyone else put in...I'm sure looking @ the drummer loafing about, soaking up money, and then being even a little unprofessional in the few responsibilities he had (like band meetings) that he had must have made them a bit annoyed.
After a certain point it must've been a bit like. Well if he's not going to apply himself for us and just basically do nothing but drum @ gigs and cause problems by not showing up for meetings, basically acting like a session drummer...why don't we just sack him and get an actual session drummer. Then we get the same performance but don't have to pay then as much. Hence Zak. I've heard Zak wasn't the first person asked...so I hardly believe that Alan was sacked for Zak to come in.

Ironically his brother being booted from Oasis led to arguably Steves most prestigious gig playing at live 8 with The Who.

Tony Mac, Alan and Steve White should form a band and call it HumDrum.... nah, they should just write a book together.

Oasis were good enough for Stevie when Alan was out with his wrist issues weren't they. but of course he probably needed the cash as his own carrier is lukewarm to say the least.
