I think the "incident" happened in Barcelona. What was the last date he played with the band before kicking off?
And was it just outside of the UK he didn't play? I don't know about Dublin Landsdowne Road but I know he was back for Bolton Reebok stadium but I think he was off again after that.
Can anyone help me out with that?
Did anyone get to see them without Noel? Was Matt Deighton playing lead parts or Gem?

Noel left after the Barcelona gig. That gig was on July 4th 2000. Noel was back for the Dublin gig which was July 7th. So he wasnt gone that long. The only other gig that he missed other than than the Barcelona gig was the Kristiansand gig (which of course is the Norway gig). noel did not leave in barcelona on july 4th (which was the recheduled date) but on may 20th - when the barcelona gig got cancelled - he was back on july 8th in dublin but did only play the irleland/uk/scottland shows not the other european ones

^At least they got to hear the songs. I have a feeling @ the time the alternative wasn't Noel going to all the gigs...I have a feeling the alternative was Noel leaving the band full stop a decade earlier.

Noel quit after the Leganes gig on May 19th - in Barcelona (the gig was cancelled that night anyway due to Alan White having tendonitus in his hand).
The first gig post-Noel was May 30th in Milan. Noel came back for all UK and Ireland shows, starting in Dublin on July 8th, but DID NOT play the European Festival shows, such as the Paleo Festival or Benicassim which occured in between the UK shows.

Paleo was the one where they left during Gas Panic because of things being thrown. Noel didn't go to the European dates after he'd rejoined probably because he didn't want to be on a tourbus and wait in dressing rooms forever with Liam/the band. He'd just fathered a child as well, and his marriage was breaking down. He could do a gig in the UK, and then presumably go home that night if he wanted. |

I was 2000 in Hamburg without Noel. They played maybe 60 minutes. The first "gigdate" was the 19th june, but a few hours before the gig should start, Liam was getting "sick". BUT we were already in front of the hall... we drove 5 hours with the car to come to hamburg for nothing!!!! 9 days later we drove again to Hamburg for this fucked up gig!

I just read several articles about the Paleo Festival and watched the YouTube audio track about it also. Does anyone know what was said by Liam to the crowd and vice versa? I cant make out much of what Liam says apart from, "I'll kick your a$$, your family's a$$, and (i think) your mom's a$$". Im just curious as to what all went down between crowd and band. Thanks in advance.
