Underneath the Sky is great, but not the best song on The Masterplan. Listen Up is the most single-worthy b-side ever, Acquiesce and The Masterplan could be singles too. A shame Noel put two of his best early songs (Listen Up and Fade Away) on a EP. Cigarettes & Alcohol is the worst song on it.^^ I also agree with NL4E that Fade Away sounds way better with Noel singing and Liam supporting him than the album version.

With the DLBIA and Wonderwall singles in mind, you really get an idea of how shit Bring The Light is. Side note: this is posted on an Android phone and "Wonderwall" was in the T9 dictionary. cool. Don't agree with this - those early Oasis singles are significantly better than Beady Eye, but they're significantly better than EVERYONE since, including Oasis' own later stuff! Bring The Light is what it is - a nice back to basics rock tune in my opinion. It doesn't compare to Wonderwall or DLBIA singles, but then, what does by ANYBODY? Exactly. You compare those early singles to late Oasis stuff and it's going to make them look like shit too. Some people on here don't realize how UNUSUALLY good Oasis was early on. I mean wasn't WTSMG just named like the best album of the past 30 years or something? People kept expecting Oasis to reach that level later in their career, and they when they didn't people dismissed them as "not being as good as they once were." So they kept listening to their DM and WTSMG, but not paying attention much to the new stuff. Just because they weren't as good though doesn't mean they weren't worth listening to. People (and not just people on here) are going to compare Beady Eye to early Oasis, and they already have. They shouldn't be tossed aside though when they don't turn out to be as good.

Underneath the sky is a classic.
A few gems i still listen to A LOT are Rockin' chair and Stay Young. Also listen to 'who put the weight of the world on my shoulders'. A classic.
Not even an Oasis b side or on an album, just featured on that Goal! soundtrack.
Great great song by Noel

Underneath The Sky is definitely an underated classic and, tbh, I don't know why I rarely ever listen to it. I just forget about it and then wonder why when I hear it.
On a side note: The DLBIA single was better than Wonderwall but, to be, Some Might Say was the last truely great one. I mean, Some Might Say, Talk Tonight, Acquiece and Headshrinker. What more could you want?

Great song, the piano solo is ace, very underrated for being a b-side, Oasis should have done more this kind of song in their late years, only The Turning come close.
Love the end: underneath the sky againnnna!

^^Other than the Masterplan, I wouldnt take any b-side on the Wonderwall single. To me, DLBIA single is just more consistant. Wonderwall has more flashes of genius, but DLBIA is just very consistant.

it's a classic for me. Loved it when I first heard it and still do. As a piece of trivia - wasn't Underneath the Sky written with the help of a travellers book which Noel pinched a few lines from? the other song he did that with was? Importance of Being Idle!
