You don't hear much about this piece of b-side magic. This song brings me to my 90's youth on a cool fall day. Anyone else agree? And what is your favourite "forgotten Oasis tune" that kinda gets lost in the mix sometimes. Oh and a shameless plug to "Columbia". Cheers

it's a classic for me. Loved it when I first heard it and still do.
As a piece of trivia - wasn't Underneath the Sky written with the help of a travellers book which Noel pinched a few lines from?
the other song he did that with was?

Thought it was decent when first heard it on the day of release, and still do. For my sins, I still think Wonderwall was the last truly, truly great Oasis single package. Everything since has had a song I didn't especially rate - and for Don't Look Back In Anger, it was this and Step Out. Cum On Feel The Noise was great mind.
Hang on - isn't this the Beady Eye section?! =)

^^Are you crazy??? I'd take the DLBIA single any day. Step Out and Underneath the Sky are amazing. First thing DLBIA is just plain better than Wonderwall, Underneath The Sky is better than Swamp Song or Round Our Way for that matter and Underneath the Sky is also just amazing. The Masterplan is the only track I'd take over any b-side on DLBIA. For me it terms of balance its DLBIA.
Wonderwall has 2 great song and 2 decent songs.
DLBIA- 1 amazing song, 2 really good songs, and 1 decent 1. DLBIA is just more balance.

Imagine if everybody started creating threads in the wrong sections... This forum would be a mess and hard to keep track. Will be moved eventually, I believe...
Anyway, I love UTS. Just not too keen on the production.

Webby, send this to the proper section for me. I'm getting raped. It was an honest mistake. Unreal. Anyways, ijust love the aura of the tune. Noel wrote this sitting in a train heading somewhere. Its the Oasis that I fell in love with man. That raw, magical poppy sound. They've never gone back to that sound since be here now. I hope but highly doubt BDI will have a few MG or BHN sounding tunes.

For me, Wonderwall and The Masterplan are both better than DLBIA - and I prefer Round Are Way to any of the DLBIA b-sides. So I prefer the package by a distance.

Yeah my bad with the "are you crazy". lol That was one of those things where you write, but you didnt realize that you wrote it. That was kinda of a fruedian slip on my part. My bad. But yeah to me DLIBIA is miles better than Wonderwall and just more flushed out. Round Are Way just isnt that good to me. I've always thought that that song was overrated.

With the DLBIA and Wonderwall singles in mind, you really get an idea of how shit Bring The Light is. Side note: this is posted on an Android phone and "Wonderwall" was in the T9 dictionary. cool.

I like the tune, but it's nowhere near my favorite off of the Masterplan
However, I do love the line "I'll be making a start with my brand new heart...."
Noel is indeed a genius.

Fade Away is a good tune, with great lyrics, but the production is way too raw for me. Clean it up and it would be amazing. The Warchild version is great, fwiw.

Don't agree with this - those early Oasis singles are significantly better than Beady Eye, but they're significantly better than EVERYONE since, including Oasis' own later stuff! Bring The Light is what it is - a nice back to basics rock tune in my opinion. It doesn't compare to Wonderwall or DLBIA singles, but then, what does by ANYBODY?
