Growing up with oasis and some of my other fav bands, I came to know that there are certain songs we've all heard over the years that grabbed you and didn't let go till after the 200th play in 4 days. When i heard "lucky man"(the verve) or "slide away"(oasis) I played it over and over, shit! I went to school and couldn't wait to get home to hear it. I still enjoy these tunes to this day. When I heard BTL yesterday morning, I thought it was ok, it didn't grab me, and I officially knew it does nothing for me, lastnite i didn't play it once, and now I'm on my blackberry in the passenger side heading home and I could give 2 fucks if I ever hear it again. I'm not saying its shit!, I'm just saying it has done nothing for me. I believe in my heart they will have a few "beauts" on the record and "show me your love" has that kind of potential as I get a rush when I hear the clips, but let's face it, you may really like BTL but it doesn't and never will "GRAB" you. Cheers

I have just one question:
Why on Earth does everyone think "Show Me Your Love" will be on the album?

Because liam and co stated the album has a t-rex jerry lee lewis sound. They also mentioned they revisited unfinished oasis songs from the "DBTT" era. That's when the "show me your love" clip surfaced. During those recordings in L.A. So it makes sense that it would. I'm betting on it.

It's not a bad song...and some people will like and some won't. It's growth in a new direction for LAG
It's just not my favorite style of rock 'n roll. I worry that BDI may be growing away from my musical tastes. Not their fault, not my fault. In which case I'll have to wait for Noel to get off his butt and make a record I like.
And lord know how long that would take.
And with my luck he'd decided to make the reggae space trilogy he has been joking about for years...and I won't like that either. LOL

Liam also said that the record has another "songbird" type tune that's just a touch shorter that's for the girlies. The album will have a few "Aces" I'm expecting poor fillers though.

I'm guessing by Songbird he means light, acoustic, and shorter. Well...at least we know the album will have range. I know some people complained about Oasis going soft towards the end and wanting more ball-to-the-walls rock. But I have to admit...I don't mind a lighter, slower moment here and there.

I know it might have not have had the adrenaline rush of headshrinker but a good majority of those songs we're pretty heavy tunes. Maybe not fast paced but DOYS proved to me that Oasis still had some balls even at the end of their career.

I am not one of those that said it, but I've seen in bandied about here a bit. I have seen it posted that some people are hoping BDI doesn't have the softer songs that Oasis put one or 2 of on every album. Hoping for an all out "rock album" whatever that means. I really liked them though...and I hope there are different types of songs in that regard as well. Hard-edged and softer....

Indeed and, unlike a lot of people, I liked LAG's contributions to that album (aside from Ain't Got Nothin'), which makes the new tune a little more dissapointing then it would of been.

I am prepared to bet that Show Me Your Love will NEVER be heard fully. Just can't see them bringing it back. It will end up just being a demo that will be forgotten about by them

Well we disagree. If show me ur love was written by "liam" which I'm not sure if that's been confirmed, then I am totally confident it will be on the record, and it probably would have been on dig out ur soul if noel didn't go for this "concept type record with a flow. BBTH is one of my favourie albums cuz its just 11 different tunes.

Bring The Light does nothing for me. As others have said, its not a bad song, its just not to my tastes.
I'm pleased they're taking a new direction as Oasis has been done and theres no way they could replicate it, especially not without Noel. Doesn't mean I have to like it though.
I don't see the fascination with Show Me Love or whatever its called though, was it not just 20 seconds of Liam strumming a guitar? Mind you, the only unfinished song that has ever gripped me is the If I Had A Gun one from Noel so that doesn't mean its shit.
