There's already piano driven music?! So what? There's already guitar driven music too... Just saying that it's not new or revelationary for them to have used a piano. That's all. There are bands already doing it...and they are doing it better than this. Who? Its rare for them to have a song so piano driven, with singing ladies and all that. Sure the idea isn't new but i think it sounds fresh and well produced. I mean wtf is original anymore. I suppose I could listen to Bloc Party's second album for originality but it is tuneless dirge so I won't bother.

what exactly is a modern feel an what is exactly moving forward???radiohead with there keyboard bollocks?coldplay with there dreary shit??andorgous amorphous whatever there called cos noel loves em an there songs are messed up shite??keane cos they added guitars?just what is modern music an moving on??who in music today has produced something like this??it sounds fresh, its exciting and basically because its got an old skool layout and its not oasis with guitars some people hate it??this track wouldve sat nicely on doys but noel doesnt push the boat when it comes to oasis.an to say its nothing new like winehouse or duffy well my first reaction was this sounds like a good version of duffy!!!and you telling me theres no melody??whats the piano??thats a great bluesy rock n roll melody!!just because theres no thudering guitars an bass doesnt mean its not rock n roll, this is the classic form an ive a feeling this will gain alot more respect from the general public than alot of oasis releases this decade, and for the information from what ive heard of noels demos its supposed to be a great album but very very slow It sounds like they literally put Jerry Lee Lewis on the keyboard stool. It sounds less like inspiration and more like an actual song from the 60's. It would actually fit in on a golden oldies station. That is what I mean by not having a modern feel. it's not like they've added anything to the musical spectrum with this is all I am saying. I didn't say it wasn't rock 'n roll. It is...without a shadow of a doubt. The melody isn't very prominant. It's more groove-based than melody-based. That is all well and good...but I prefer more melody. Try humming along to it and you'll see what I mean. And who cares about Noel @ a time like this. Or Oasis for that matter. This is about BDI. groove based really?

So BTL can't even do that much right... No, obviously you haven't heard. BTL is a melody based song...it has nothing to do with groove. The driving piano is so melodic and beautiful, it's not propulsive or rythmic like a groove should be... Can't you hear that? You're as deluded as I was before I corrected!

what exactly is a modern feel an what is exactly moving forward??? Not releasing a single that sounds like it was recorded in 1951 would be a start.

There are some fucking idiots on this forum.

if they get away with ripping off lou reed it will be a master-stroke I think it'd be more like Jerry Lee Lewis than Lou Reed...

I have...and the BDI tune still makes me wanna almost yell out "Great Balls of Fire" before I think of the Velvet Underground... It may be more of a vibe thing than a musical structure thing though.
