Rubbish. How can people truly like a song when the lyrics are this shite. At least little james was about something. This is Aint got nothin repeated... This is what was i was expecting in the back of my mind but didnt want to believe. Sorry Liam but Noel's your meal ticket. and im now realizing thats the cold hard truth.

Don't write them off just yet. I loved DOYS, but if I would only hear AGN I would think the album's shit too.
Don't really like the song though, especially the production. Lillywhite still has time to improve the sound, I hope he does, because he needs to!!

If the title of this thread is refering to the 2nd line of the chorus the lyric is 'it's ecstasy'.
Just saying

I thought it was "It's ecstasy", which, if you say fast, sounds like "sextacy".

Lillywhite is a great producer, but the production on this track is a little flat.

Yeah, it obviously is "it's ecstacy". Sure, most of the lyrics are poor even with this thread cleared up, and that's the worst part of the song for me. Overall, I actually really like the sound of it.

"Shake your reptile, baby"... It's ragdoll, meaning "body"..... I think he was just pointing out another lyric that some people got wrong when they first heard the track.

Overall, I actually really like the sound of it. sort of reminds me of that troll toll song in "it's always sunny in philadelphia"... "you have to pay the troll toll to get into the boy's soul." god, i love that show...

It is ecstasy. I thought it was "you sex the sea" but I guess I'm just a little weird.

Got to admit im that im not disliking the song now,,, obviously is not brilliant but is not that bad....... i guess we are all slaging it cause is Liam's..... and we believe more in Noel's songwriting,,,,, but i guess all is relative... i was watching an old thread regarding I wanna live in a dream in my Record Machine where some random guy posted the lyrics before the song leaked and everybody was slaging them before we knew that were authentic and written by King Noel himself..

My wife thought he sang Sextacy as well. It made me laugh, but come on, Liam could never be that clever on purpose. Lyrics are not the end all to good music. Most songs are total rubbish lyrically anyhow.

"Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today..."
^ Simple song but effective and it worked because of the song and what it was about.
Now I'm not putting BTL anywhere near Imagine, but I think it's perfectly clear that you write lyrics to suit the song.
Whether it be simple lyrics to get to the point (Imagine & BTL for example), or it's a song which needs expanding (DLBIA for example)

Who gives a flying fuck about wether its SEXTACY or ECSTASY when Liam is singing for a half of the song "COME ON COME ON BABY COME ON"!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!
This song is absolut CRAP! i had no expectations from B.E but i thought they would at least be smart enough to debut with a Good song!
This is MOS with piano being Copy Paste twice!

The words may be simple...bu it packs a punch because it invokes thought. They are thoughtful lyrics. They may not have long words...but every line is obviously thought out and relates to an over-all theme. A quite profound theme @ that. There are not lines in there that are only there because they rhyme... The lyrics suck. End of. You may say the song doesn't need good lyrics...but the lyrics are not good.
