T hey are not going to release only vinyl...that is immeasurably stupid. Noone could be that stupid.
I am feeling less confident about the date with every passing day. I think if they don't get it out in November we aren't gonna hear it this year. They'd be stupid to go up again the Christmas rush. I don't believe that it is B though. Liam isn't brilliant about planning...but I mean...if he has an agent and any kind connection to a label...they have to know that they need to announce it a few weeks prior to release and that they need to play it on radio for a couple weeks before the sale date. It's not just a lack of promotion...it's a lack of news of any kind. actually the vinyl market is the only physical form of music that is consistently growing. it is my belief that all the singles will see a vinyl/digital release. while the album is released on cd, vinyl, and download. Vinyl sales nationwide topped 2.5 million in 2009, a 33 percent increase from 2008's 1.9 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan. At Half Price Books, vinyl sales for the past year were up about 3 percent in Texas. www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/fea/lifetravel/stories/DN-vinyl_0218gd.ART0.State.Edition1.4c0e303.htmllol that's where i get all my books. they have lots of cds and vnyls, mostly used tho.

But it isn't the primary means of deseminating music by any means. That is all I meant. CD's are slowing down because of digital downloading and there is very little to recommend a CD over a digital download except a little paper sleeve in the front. Record sales are still improving because they are novelty/collector items as much as they are methods of listening to music. There was obviously going to be another type of release...and there is...digital.

^^Artist need to return to making albums more of an experience. Great artwork, lyrics, rare photos. Complete product, not the usual bull that bands release these days.
