Her first comment is tricky because i have no idea how the lemures (spirit/ghost) fits in

My latin is rusty, having not studied it since 2006.

My interpretation is that by 'spirits' she means ''members of the band'

so the new single is alike the first singe of the selftitled album and band STP?

My guess is that very soon, within a week at last, BE (lemures) is going to announce their new single. (=Magnus Novus) It is due to be released in October right? So now is the time to do it!

Only her choice of the word "lemures" (ghosts/spirits) is a bit weird. It almost made me think it has something to do with Noel, or Oasis (who are dead)

But no, I'm sure that with ghosts/spirits she means the "good old" members from Oasis minus Noel... That's right: Beady Eye

The only cryptic thing appears to be the 'ghosts' bit, it's either referring to the spirits from the dead Oasis, as someone said earlier, or it may be a reference to the name of the release or something. We'll have to wait to see, but anyway, I'm very glad that news are finally coming

Don't add words to try and make sense of it. Latin isnt English. What it says is what it says. You can't will a translation to be something.

I took Latin for a pretty long time and unless I'm wrong it looks as if theriddler is saying "ghosts to bring big news." that's the exact translation and grammatically correct for that matter.

I would agree with NL4E on the new member thing, except that lemures is being used as a nomitive plural. For there to be a new "spirit" joining the group then, lemures would have to be accusative. That means thriddler means for the ghosts to be the subject and not the object that is being acted upon.

Therefore, there's only one answer, Beady Eye will have news coming soon. And when theriddler says ghosts/spirits, I think she just means the remnants of Oasis. Or the ghost of what's left. Again, it can't be about McCaroll's book or Noel because the subject is plural, if it was singluar then there would be a chance, but it isn't.

Also, I do't think its a reference to a song title or anything. Like I said, lemures is being used as plural, not a singular. And also the translation would really make no sense if that was the case. There'd have to be a few more words than that, for it make sense grammatically and structually. That would be extremely bad latin and I've read enough of the theriddler's post to know that she's amazing at Latin and wouldn't make such a blatant mistake. To get stuff right 100% grammatically and structually as much as she does, takes more than pure luck. Wouldn't surprise me if she has a degree in it.

So Beady Eye will have news.
