Liam has to produce some quality on this record because he knows the "Oasis was all noel" will really come to the for front. I believe he has stepped up his game for this record, I bet he sounds better and I believe he pushed himself to release something of quality because the last thing he wants is to hear that he sucks without noel. Should be a respectable album with a few nuggets, something to silence the critics. In closing I'd like to say, no matter how great noel is or was, I love the dude but he's not rock n roll anymore, he's lost his love for the "rock life" because of his wife, and money. One thing he will never have is liams passion, anger, love and presence for his fans and music. Noels gone soft. But his Solo Album will be an Epic Classic. He's that good, and he has tunes up his sleeve. Cheers. I agree Liam definitely still craves & lives for Rock & Roll & Noel is happy with the family life with the occasional tear up Even if Liam & the boys serve up a classic the critics will still love to knock the music, they did with every album Oasis released except the first two I've never ever took any notice of any so called critic anyway as it's one mans view & their all over paid middle class mugs anyway

I was just thinking about when Alan McGee said he has songs that are right up there with Live Forever and Don't Look Back In Anger... then I remembered it was Alan McGee who said this. This is the man that said Dig Out Your Soul was on a par with Revolver and Beggars Banquet. Mind you, his musical opinions are very narrow minded and he comes across as a right arsehole.

Totally agree with you, I think Liam, Andy & Gem will all be motivated by the fact they have to prove their worth and show everyone that it was not just Noel holding them together. I think the whole band vibe will be better off because everyone involved seem to enjoy spending time together and work with one another so in my eyes the record may not be as good as early oasis but it will be ambitious in its own right and a proper album. Noel on the other hand will revel in being on his own. His songs, his words, his basslines and his drum patterns. Lets not kid ourselves, Noel is a man who enjoys control and he seems to have become more bitter around 2002 when the dynamics of Oasis changed and him being on his own will mean he produces some of his best work in a long while. We as fans get two albums, two tours and hopefully in a few years another dose of sibling rivalry. Beady Eye Vs Noel Gallagher.

I am so fucking excited, lets hope news doesnt dry up again but i've had an idea: surely Georgia won't be the only dancer working on the video? There might be others who are willing to disclose more information? Anyone know how we would find them?

Maybe we'll see more co-writing on the album, like Liam-Gem for Love Like A Bomb. Maybe there will be a Bell-Archer credit, which I'd certainly look forward to hearing.

Noel was the one who selected Andy and Gem and encouraged them to write their own stuff. I don't think he was bitter after 2002. He has said on numerous occassions that he loved making DBTT because it was such a collaborative effort. I just think that Noel got tired and wanted time off. I don't think that means he's bitter.

^^^^ well said spaneli, I agree that Noel is not bitter at all, just tired of the same old shit day in and day out with Liam. In time they will settle their differences, and give Oasis a shot again. For now let them do, what they want to do, and figure themselves out.

Well Liam did say that in the studio Andy was thinking that he's Jimi Hendrix or something, so let's hope so. well that's something we haven't seen from Andy If anything, you could imagine Gem doing Hendrix? Andy Bell has always been the best guitarist in Oasis... I remember Noel saying it..somewhere...

I still think that incident in Toronto made Noel think about his life or something. He could've been really injuried that day. Then he sees himself in a band with his brother who just refuses to grow up. In my opinion he just wanted a reason to get out.
Beady Eye was formed during the DOYS tour. Was always Liam, Gem, Andy, Jay and Chris on one side and Noel on the other. Noel was even travelling on different flights!

What's wrong with listening to Coldplay? Chris Martin is a wimp! So we have to listen to bands based on the frontman's character?

So we have to listen to bands based on the frontman's character? there we have the difference in Liam and Noel as well, Liam calling people names and Noel saying how much he likes their music
