Ok, just a small observation, and this is mostly for the hardcore Oasis collectors, but if the single is anything to go by, the new Beady Eye stuff will probably have the EYE catalouge numbers. You can see that the catalouge number on the single is EYE1. Oasis had always Rkid for their catalouge numbers. Heh.

Isn't "Sons of the Stage" the name suggested by Liam as an alternative to Oasis in the Paolo Hewitt book Forever The People?? i.e. the band would come on as Sons of the Stage, do their stuff, and then back come on as Oasis for the second half of the show and play the classics? <stretches memory> If so, a nice nod to Oasis mythology! You're definitely right about that. I reread the book very recently and this stuck out to me immediately. Liam came up with SOTS in Australia 1998 cos he was getting tired of Oasis and Noel was thinking of shutting Oasis down for a while (would't be the first time that sentiment was expressed). Was kind of hoping for 2 or 3 bsides but this is all so soon. Wonderful, I cannot wait. |

Seems like even more of a confirmation that this is real is that they took this site down and over on the BE boards the mods have taken down all the threads that mentioned the news of this single. There was also a news story on the NME site which has been taken down. |

I agree but in the modern music world, where no one buys singles, b-sides are essentially wasted songs. I will always love the old Oasis singles with 3 new songs to hear-- but those days are gone. 1 bside from Beady Eye singles is better than the crap extra tracks on the DOYS singles!

It is not uncommon for webhosts to preview pages live prior to release, but usually they make sure its secure or they do it at like 2 in the morning that way no one catches it. Someone just lost their job over this goof.

It's different. On the BDI website Liam is on the far right, on the single cover, Chris is on the far right. Pretty sure this is legit guys. Just because there's no link to this on the recordstore.co.uk website doesn't mean its fake. It would be pretty hard for somebody to create a fake page using their domain. The reason it looks so tacky is probably because this was just a placeholder page not meant to be seen by anybody and there was still some refining to be done with it. The word "test" even appears in the url. Wow, you definitely are right about that!! Nice find, dear Watson  Even if this site was a fake, no one except the guys in the Beady Eye managment/camp would've had access to a different photo like that! My moneys on legit now!  nice work everyone |

Has anyone noticed how that pic looks like an eye, with eyelashes and all the trimmings.....
