Thought I'd bring this up seeing as though some were wondering about the label that BE would be signed to.
My guess would be that it's an off-shoot of Big Brother, but having it separate to BB would enable the band members to keep the commissions that they would earn i.e. Not having to give any money to Noel if it were on Big Brother?
Just a thought, but it HAS to be part of Big Brother because the systems are already in place for what they need to make releases.

BB may now be defunct since Noel also has Sour Mash and BB only signing was Oasis. It can't be that hard to set upmarket label though. They'll be signing a distribution deal with someone for @ least the rest of the world...maybe even the UK. What I wonder is whether Andy and Gem are also owners in this label. That could've been a bigger reason than just to prevent Noel getting a share. They may not have as much money as Noel and Liam...but they might have had enough to buy in to this.

These sorts of things why I think Beady Eye exists, its a chance for Gem, Chris & Andy to be a big part of the songwriting and how stuff is produced but can also have shares in the label and the band as a company.
These days musicians are businessmen of sorts too and so the whole attraction of this project will have appealed to them, Jeff probably wants in on it too. I expect Jeff to be a full time bass player before long.

Liam can't do it on his own. He just doesn't have the skill or the know-how. He has never had to develop it. Noel was always there making the production decisions and taking the brunt of the songwriting duties. If Noel hadn't left Liam, Gem, and Andy would have continued on without a fuss exactly how things were. Liam is incapable of running BDI like Noel ran Oasis because he doesn't have the talent. That is why it is more collaborative. Having said that I am sure that Noel under-utilised Andy and Gem. I am not saying any of this to be mean about Liam...but it the facts. He cannot play multiple instruments, he is not self-sufficient as a songwriter, he hasn't been extensively involved in production despite being in Oasis for 10 years. He's got a massive talent. Singing. And that is invaluable...but he doesn't have the talent to do this solo...even if he wanted to.

I just mean it was a general lure to Gem, Andy & Chris rather than them joining Noel or going off and joining other bands.
I know that Beady Eye started because Oasis disbanded just saying I can see why these 3 will have been delighted to get stuck in and get a bit more control than what they would have had.

Doubt they were asked to join Noel. I suppose another band could've been a possibility...but they know they have it good being linked to Liam. I think that some of those consideration (mostly the monetary ones) would not have been apparent when they agreed to stay with Liam. I think they mostly did it out of friendship and they knew they couldn't leave him.
