I know earlier in the week I said my first impression of them was of indifference, but after several plays of both albums, I literally can't get their songs out of my head. So catchy.

A bit of pointless trivia.... Last year The Courteeners supported Morrissey on his American tour.Last year The Courteeners covered a classic James song. Earlier this year The Courteeners supported Noel Gallagher at the second of Noel's Royal Albert Hall, Teenage Cancer shows. Last Christmas The Courteeners sold out Manchester GMEX (10'000 crowd). This Christamas The Courteeners will most probably sell out the MEN Arena (17'000 indoor arena crowd). Here is their cover version of the James song (one of many James cover versions. Tomorrow being another popular cover by The Courteeners!!)

They have some really good, catchy tunes. I hate the Oasis comparison because Oasis were never as blunt as they are in their lyrics.
Can't stop listening to them atm.

I love them! I got really into them this summer and like you ^ I couldn't stop listening. I went to see them at the Paredes de Coura festival, and I was literally the only person who seemed to know the songs, which was a bit sad... But it was still amazing I got meet the band afterwards, and they they proclaimed me their "only portuguese fan", which was very honoring ;D

Great band, but shame that they can't make it outside the UK. They've sold out MEN Arena last year, but in Holland they even couldn't fill one of the smallest venues 2 years ago. Nice lads btw.
