It recently played as a Teenage Cancer Trust show at the Royal Albert Hall in London, but now The Who plan on taking Quadrophenia out on tour, probably in spring 2011.
Speaking to Billboard.com, Roger Daltrey said: 'We're just working out what to do next. We've got ideas, we're looking on probably being out there, hopefully if all goes well, in the spring of next year. We definitely don't want to stop. We feel it's the role of the artist to go all the way through life 'til you can't do it anymore.'
He added that Quadrophenia would be part of the show, but in an amended form: 'There are issues with it to make it work at our age. I'm 16 years older than when we last did it and I always had a bit of a problem as far as the crowd was concerned, with the way we were presenting the show, the way our position within the piece was explained. For the newcomers, it was narratively a bit of a puzzle, what Pete and I were to this guy on the screen. It needs a revamp. It would be dated to put it out as it is now. We need to fix that area, but I know how to do it.'
So sounds like a mix of hits and Quadrophenia - keep an eye out for dates soon.

If i had to list a number of artists that i have not seen in my life, then The Who would be number one. I did come close once. The Who played Manchester MEN Arena in 1999 (John was still on bass, with Zak on drums), but i didn't go. I went to Blackpool Empress Ballroom to watch James who played on the same night. It's only Roger and Pete from the original line up. But so what! Tell me the dates and im there!!

i've seen them live twice. they were amazing--just as long as they stay away from the "endless wire" record.

I have seen Entwhistle 3 times before he died. I will go to 1 show which would then be half a dozen times for me! Long Live Rock.
