I always thought he would be very arrogant, but he wasn't at all. Very calm, friendly and a nice gentleman. yeah Richard he can spit out the biggest pompous statements but he has always seemed like a very down to earth fellow.

The full album leaked at 192kb.
First impressions: Very good, very surprising! Ashcroft seems very happy, the music is upbeat and cheerful and funky. Lots of wah going on. It gets kind of samey near the end, but it's quality. However, How Deep Is Your Man is the fucking worst! I nearly turned off the album cos of that stinker. Take that out and you have a solid 4/5.

"She Brings Me The Music" is my favourite song from the album.
He seems happy and really enjoying his new band when I saw him last month, so anyone who has a chance to see him live, go to see him. Good luck Richard. I wish you and TUNOS all the best.

One of my dreams was to go to an Oasis concert supported by The Verve or just Richard Ashcroft. I've listened this album 4 times since yesterday and I love it!

I quite like them but definitely not live.

I quite like them but definitely not live. He played semi-acoustic set and it was brilliant, but seems not very pleased. He looked like he was standing behind his own shadow. Now 5 years later, he seems much powerful and really enjoying his new band.

This has gotten wide spread shit reviews. And I mean shit. You think Oasis albums get hammered in the press?
Haven't listened to it yet, mind

I have this album since last Wednesday. Nothing comperable to The Verve stuff (I don't understand why RPA prefers to be average alone than to be great in The Verve) but still better than the daily crap from radio or TV. She Brings Me The Music is absolutely great I really like it. I love how it begins to flow faster in 2nd half. And Let My Soul Rest is also fine.

Can't blame the press... not a great piece of work it has to be said. Definitely the worst solo album by Richard. Was sad about not seeing him in Berlin this year. Then I heard the gig on the radio and felt confused and the album was a major disappointment.

I saw him solo supporting Coldplay in 2005 and it was the only gig I really enjoyed the supporting act more than the main act, I'm pretty sure they were supported by Mercury Rev on their most recent(?) tour. Just seems like the ultimate anti climax to follow up a bunch of 15 minute psychedelic jamz with insipid wuss rock like "Fix You"
