I know there's a few of us on here who love them - enviro, Wireless, Idol and Mogly. Especially enviro and I have been a huge fan of them for years.
Their last album "Boxer" was really brilliant. It was my best album of 2007 and still one of my most favourite albums. I had never heard of them until the Summer of 2007. I found them by an accident when I was listening to NPR's in concert. They were broadcasting their gig from Philadlphia.
Just bought this new album of them on Monday. They didn't disapoint me with this fantastic album. "Anyone's Ghost" and "Lemonworld" are my favourites, but "Runaway" stole the whole album.
They're finally getting what they deserve here in Europe now. Better too late than never, I would say.
The music of The National is mature. Just wonderful.
I'm really looking forward to see them (for the first time!) in July.
Sorry for this long post. I just wanted to share my thought about this fantastic band and this fantastic album.

I'm gonna pick it up soon, it's on sale at Best Buys and Targets for those in America. Might see them live this summer!

Glad to see more The National fans on here.
Anybody else got the album yet? I"m really loving High Violet. Next to FR, Weller and E&TC, it's absolute one of the best albums I bought this year so far.
