Yes, you're right. I hardly know only 15 albums. And there are, I think, no some albums that are really worth of mentioning.

Good positions for Oasis albums considering that Spin is an american magazine, DM should be higher of course.

The order is messed up, but all of those albums are classics. If you haven't heard or at least know of most of them you should really start listening to more music.

some good albums are missing on that list(Blood Sex Sugar Magik, Californication, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Kick, Pinkerton, etc.)

Did I understand right? Well, I suppose, I should improve myself.))))

I was delighted to see that U2's masterpiece Achtung Baby made it to number one rather than the incredibly overrated OK Computer.
But then again, we all just take these lists with a pinch of salt. Definitely Maybe really lower than Morning Glory?
These lists are always irrelevant. Many of these albums are great, but great in their own different way so it's pointless trying to find which one is better than which.

Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chilli Peppers should been on the list. The Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness should been on the list as well. Foo Fighters The Colour and the Shape was one the best albums in past 25 years. RHCP Californication and Blood Sugar Sex Magik inspired many.

Yes, you're right. I hardly know only 15 albums. Jesus Christ. Anyway, though it's a painfully mainstream list, the majority of those albums are at the very least good. They were clearly taking the piss with the number one though; if it wasn't for the absence of Muse in the list I would've been certain this was Q. Oh and everyone knows In Utero >>> Nevermind.

There's no way a Q list would have Prince, Public Enemy, Sonic Youth, Husker Du, and Pavement any where near their top twenty nowadays. Also, no Since I Left You is straight up bullshit.

I've always had Q down as total Prince fanboys. Also pretty sure P.E. placed relatively high the last time they did their "100 Greatest Albums In The World EVA!" thing. The rest you're probably right about. Credit to this list; Mats, Dü and Polly Jean records are all surprisingly (and awesomely) placed.
Since I Left You should be there but anything even slightly "electronic" hasn't really been given a fair crack of the whip. No Untrue (as far as I can see) despite it being in practically every critic's top ten of the decade list. No Screamadelica either which again seems an obvious pick.
Oh and they forgot Kid A.

It must not be cool to place Kid A high any more, it's too Pitchfork I suppose. OK Computer and Kid A are replaceable on any "best of" list I guess. At least they have Guided By Voices! And I applaud them for putting Oasis on the list, most American magazines are too "cool" to put them anywhere near the top twenty (or top one hundred at that).
Funeral deserves better though, as do The White Stripes.

Most of what I expected from a US publication is in there. I'd definitely have Modest Mouse's 'The Moon & Antarctica' in there though, and Bright Eyes' 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning'. Did I miss '3 Feet High and Rising'? If not I'm surprised that wasn't listed.

The Moon and Antarctica should be there, as should it's predecessor really. DRA's Heartbreaker (the album Wide Awake wishes it was) is another strange omission.
Funeral probably deserves higher but it sort of evens out by way of Neon Bible being on the list when it really has no right to be anywhere near it.

DRA? Err, is that Ryan Adams? I'm having a hard time deciphering who you mean.
And, if that's the case, I totally agree.

Oh yeah sorry. DRA = David Ryan Adams.

Ah, didn't know that was his first name. Shame he played as The Cardinals instead of DRA when I saw him support Oasis.

I actually think the first two records he made with the Cardinals are his best official releases since Heartbreaker. Cardinology was pretty awful but he'd already fallen off big time with Easy Tiger by then.

I actually liked Two, but he mostly played stuff from the latest Cardinals album. I don't think he played anything from the first two or anything before Easy Tiger.

Cardinology was brilliant. He's a genius that man. One of my favourite artists. Heartbreaker and Gold are two of the best albums of the 00s

Gold gets a lot of unfair flack definitely. Saying that most of the best songs sound much better in their stripped down form on the Suicide Handbook bootleg (which for my money gives Heartbreaker a run for its money as the best thing he's ever done.)
This thread seems to have been derailed somewhat.

It's ok as it's Ryan Adams we're talking about
