I'm curious: I've seen a lot of people on here express their frustration over the tracklisting. Can anybody elaborate that a bit? What would make a better tracklisting etc?

I think its more the order of the tracklisting 2bh.
Also, instead of the Roundhouse gig, wouldn't it have been better having A live version of every single? That way gaining a proper overview of Oasis and Liam's and Noel's vocals over the years?
Either way, I know am buying it anyway

it just looks lazy. All the singles thrown into a pot and sold to the highest bidder. Not very original. Old giants like Rolling Stones, U2 and Simple Minds knock out a best of to cash in when there is nothing to release. Oasis could of been more thoughtful. B-sides (2000-2009) demos of singles live tracks on cd dvd - (finsbury park, heaton park, roundhouse) ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/EkafNX9eWN8NC0b6Ehbr.gif)

That would be interesting, but would present two problems: They've never done Lord Don't Slow Me Down and She Is Love live...

All interesting point guys. I'm not sure what to quite think of this release at the moment. Of course it's way to milk us the fans of some quick money, but I also see this as a great cd to give away as gifts. It's a nice collection of tunes to introduce to someone new to Oasis.

This is obviously a contractual release wih the label. I really like the artwork it's old school. I will defo buy this & am not worried about the track listing, although SMC as a hidden track would be a bit random especially if the video is incuded.
I am a bit disapointed with the Roundhouse gig as a live extra. What about the Knebworth show instead as a live gig, to show the band at the top of their game? People will still be buying this in years to come & although the Rounhouse is a good gig it is from their last tour & for me doesnt show the truely emense live experience you get from an Oasis gig. Any lesser fans who havent seen them live or younger newbies might watch this & wonder why that gig is included too!!
Having said that it is an official Oasis release & there wont be many more of them now!
3 CDs and DVD that comes in wallets in a clampshell box with booklet. DVD featuring all the UK promo videos with track by track audio commentary by the band, plus previously unreleased International videos plus the Roundhouse gig = MAD FER IT!

i cant believe all the negative comments. if nothing else this is a great chance to finally own all the videos in good quality. i would happily pay fifteen quid for that. knebworth will come out on dvd at some point down the line. just cos they have split (hopefuly just for the time being) does not mean that they wont release anything ever again.

It's not an April Fool, kickass!
Gonna grab it as soon as I can, mostly for the video collection and the sake of owning it, really. Also it's a chance for people who already own all the studio albums to get Whatever and LDSMD on actual CD... The only thing that really bugs me is the tracklisting, it's so random. I would have preferred them in chronological order, but oh well

I'm a bit pissed off about this tbh.
It's not what Oasis is about, just money money money, I'm sure it wasn't Noel or Liam's idea.

i'm not getting it. i have no need to have their music videos when i can watch them online at any time, and i've collected all their us/uk singles over the last 14-15 years.

Like Kenneth said it'll be a great collection to give as a gift and introduce friends to Oasis. It'll also be one of those cds you must have in your car for a listen!

were CS, MG and RNRS really not singles in the UK? They were here in Canada, as was DGA.

this is just pointless... oasis fans shouldn't buy this... it's a rip off.
Is Noel involved in this release? I'd think it's just sony trying to cash-in

I don't really care if Noel is involved or not, it's irrelevant. This release is so stupid it defies logic. When you put out a product, your goal is to maximize profit, right? Well, you know Oasis has a massive worldwide fan base (especially in England). Therefore, a gig like Knebworth, or Gmex, or whatever would sell so many compared to a compilation of singles which every fan has. Once again, it defies logic.

There are four singles boxes available on the market: You've got the Vox box promo. Which is insanely expensive. It was given as a gift to people who was close to the group in the mid '90's and has therefor never been available in shops etc. It collects all the singles from the first two albums, as well as a couple of interview cd's aswell. Then there's the Japanese singles collection as you mention. It collects all the Japanese singles from '94-'05. That's the collection with the most complete collection of singles available on the market. Again, extremely rare and pricey. Then you've got the Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory singles box set. They're shaped like a gold and silver Benson & Hedges package, and collects all singles from their respective albums. Also comes with an interview cd in each. You might be lucky getting these for a relative good price on eBay. Just keep looking for them, and hopefully you'll find one with a good price. Now, if I where you, I'd just buy each singles off eBay one by one. It's something that you won't regret, as having all the Oasis singles will give you hours worth of great music!!! Good luck collecting the singles ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
