Tough route to the final for us, although I suppose everyone's in the same boat. I'm happy we've avoided Barcelona and Inter, but Bayern? No thanks.
And I hope Arsenal knock Barcelona out, I really do.

And I hope Arsenal knock Barcelona out, I really do. Definitely but Messi's gonna tear our aging, lack lustre defense apart without doubt. Still, stranger things have happened.

pft! Ye have the easiet draw of the lot and at home in the second leg? Never underestimate the Germans. Worse teams have knocked us out of the competition in the past, and Bayern certainly have the ability to turn us over. And then there's the prospect of a trip to Lyon or Bordeaux, who have both proven they're more than capable of delivering an upset. And playing the second leg at home is only an advantage if you make it into an advantage in the first leg.

To be the best Arsenal have got to beat the best. Obviously far from favourites but stranger things have happened so fingers crossed. I'd still rather have Barca than Man Utd to be honest.

We should have beat Barca in 2006 in the final, and that was with 10 men for most of the game! I wouldn't say Arsenal don't have a chance. Fact is, all last 8 teams have a chance....

I also want to point out that we've been drawn against the giants in recent years and have always progressed - Juventus, Real Madrid, and AC Milan spring to mind....
Not saying Arsenal will def. go through, but haven't you lot already learned to write them off at your own peril by now?
I'd rather Barca than Utd, to be honest....

Also got to remember is that the 2006 team was relatively poor to what we have today - they just sneaked to 4th spot ahead of Tottenham remember (hilarious it was though). Whatever happens, we'll give it a good go.

The Juventus with Patrick Vieira who was going to murder our young 'pretender' Cesc [who, I would like to point out, scored after Pires dispossessed the mighty Vieira] COME ON THE ARSENAL

The same Juventus who got whipped 4-1 by Fulham the other night? Naturally, because Juventus have always been that bad, even when they reached three consecutive Champions League finals and had one of, if not the best squad in European football. Whether Arsenal have it in them to beat Barcelona over two legs, I don't know. I doubt it. We're talking about the same side that completely bossed United in last season's Champions League final, and United were a far more disciplined and experienced a side then than Arsenal are now.

I think anything less than a two goal advantage to take into the second and we're all but out. I can't really see this happening either but like I said stranger things have happened. Knowing us as well we'll end up knocking the best team out then losing to f*cking Inter or Moscow or something . Still, at least we've got super Bendtner to lead the line Also I'd like to point out that Italian football has been shocking for years now

I agree that Barca's the favourite, but I'm sure it's going to be way closer than what most people are making of the tie. All the ties except the Inter one sound cracking, really looking forward to each of them.

All the ties except the Inter one sound cracking, really looking forward to each of them. Agree. It will be very close. Any club has ever won two consecutive Champions Leagues, so I don't expect us to win it again BUT it can happen. The press from Madrid, in their constant attempt to discredit Barça's superior football, keeps saying that Barça is not playing as well as last season but I don't see any significative differences. The English teams are very strong, as well as Inter and then Bayern. The rest, I don't see them making it to the semis.

Objectivity isn't their strong suit. Gets even worse when you spend 260 millions building a team to pass the 1/8 finals of the Champions League whose final is played in YOUR stadium and fail at the attempt for the 6th consecutive year. Far from acquiring some humility, they show in their front page today that they WILL win the spanish league and that they WILL win against Barça in the next Madrid-Barça. There's no cure for this disease. And be prepared, United/Arsenal fans, for the Rooney/Cesc-wants-to-play-in-Madrid lie that they are beginning to spread to start again this lust state of mind in which they constantly live, in absence of titles.

No english teams in the UCL semis for the first time in 6 years.
The smis fer this year:
Bayern - Lyon
Inter - Barça.
Any predictions?
I'm hoping for a Bayern - Barça final. And Inter, I think, are tougher today than Bayern and Lyon.
