im not saying i hate them being drug addict and alcoholic bigmouths, its just time to be mature when you're in your late 30's. liam hasnt done that yet. He's matured a lot over the last few years theres no doubt, but he's on a night out with free booze at an event he couldn't give a toss about. I'd still like the odd mad night out when i'm 37.

saw the thing "live"(online stream) and thought the exact same thing a lot of you did, "was it me or did he not mention Noel?" you know what, now that is crystal clear that he didn't, can't really say i blame him. you can bash the guy all you want but the same thing could be said about Noel for not even showing up @ the ceremony. GROW the fuck up! This could've been a nice moment for the 2 brothers and why not, invite the former members, instead it was just Liam. his speech was short but got straight to the point. well done imo.

we could have had more great music...i just dont think liam's solo stuff being all that great. maybe rockin', but definitely not anything very deep or intellectual, maybe a few that seem like it...but mostly like aint got nothin.

a good speech from liam id say an whats the big bastard fuss?he thanked the fans gave them the award thanked his old bandmates ,fair enough he left noel out but he did mute which i suppose was his nod to noel, but why dindt noel show up?an its quite obvious most memebers on here are newish fans cos if you think liams gonna go up there an kiss arse an preach about stuff then you obviouly dont know the band,i thought it was a gracious display from him,an atleast he still carries flies the flag for the band an always sticks up for them,it was noel always putting the band down an delaying alabums an it was noel who left the band,if ya dont want em like that an for laim to grow up go watch jls or robbie or maybe gaga.fucks sake what did you expect???he seems kind of sad its ended i think.an i heard he got kicked out the awards for attacking a living state!!always count on him!!try telling the stones to grow up an all the other greats.as liam put it live forever!!!

So if Noel had presented Liam with the tracks that make up Heathen Chemistry in 1995, would that record have been a classic? And you'd be slagging off the both of them if no-one had gone. Would I now? Interesting that, because if you had actually read my post on this award ('Not that I have much interest in The Brits but...if you're going to present an award for Morning Glory, give it to the legend who wrote it, not the man who can't even remember recording it, or else just don't bother'), you'd see I said without Noel there I would've actually preferred neither of them to have been there, so you couldn't be more wrong.

Has anybody seen NL4E? I think this might have pushed him over the edge. It's called class. Something that Liam had bucket loads of tonight. I'm proud of him. His ITV 'rant' was great, too. Cool as fuck, as ever.

I agree. But we were never really expecting that. I think LAG will make more rockin' stuff and Noel will make more deep acoustic-y ballad stuff. It's what he's best at nowadays. I totally agree that Noel's stuff will be better but thats obvious I just think it'll be different.

Don't underestimate Liam's contribution on that album or tour. Jesus, imagine Maine Road if it was all Noel ffs.

Man, people can make a big deal out of nothing... It's a silly award. To be honest, I wish Liam was more offensive. Too much nice, fake bullshit in music nowadays.

I don't want to bash Noel. But let's put somethings in to context:
Who walked out of the band in August? Who didn't even bother thanking the fans after walking out? Who has remained pretty much silent for 6 months? Who rejected the chance to represent the band tonight? Oh, right. Noel.
Who thanks the fans and other band members? Who continues to support the Oasis cause? Who bothered showing up today? Oh, right. Liam.
I'm not picking sides, but those of you who bash Liam for tonight are off your rocker. Liam did nothing wrong. Grow up.

a bigger man would have shut his mouth about the breakup instead of going on three radio shows and talking about it. noel hasnt even tried to defend himself

a bigger man would have shut his mouth about the breakup and let bigons be bigons. hahahaha yeah if you're getting universely blamed for the break up of one of Britains biggest bands you should say nothing? lol Noel did say something, he heaped the blame on everyone else in his statement.

To be honest mate I'm not bothered really, I'm not sure why I'm involved in a debate about it. Maybe they should've just sent Owen Morris along eh. ;D Just a final thing before I hop off, on what you said about Liam - I totally appreciate and love his contribution to Oasis, and fully understand what he brought to things like Maine Rd as you mentioned, but that is a seperate point from the one being made about his contributions in the studio at that time, and that's while appreciating how great his vox was then.
