Right, I've just seen the clip, and yeah, I know how Liam is....I was just hoping for something more from him. I mean FFS, its the MAIN fuckin prize not single of the year or whatever. Had Liam of thanked his brother, the olive branch would of been accepted by Noel.....now bc of Liam's omission of Noel in the "thank yous", if there ever was going to be an Oasis reunion, that just got chucked into the fire pits with Lucifer....

just to clarify he didn't say best bands in the world... he said best fucking fans in the world... makes more sense That's a very important distinction. I really have no problem with what Liam did up there; I thought it was kind of funny actually. Sure, I would have liked him to say a little more, but I don't really know what he would have said. Anybody who thinks either of the Gallagher brothers would thank each other right now is dreaming. That would never happen.

From NME
" Liam Gallagher snubs Noel in Brit Album Of 30 Years speech Singer also called a 'knob' by host Peter Kay
Oasis have picked up the award for Brits Album of 30 Years, for their 1995 album 'What's The Story (Morning Glory)', at this years Brit Awards.
Liam Gallagher picked up the award in person, and took the opportunity to thank his former bandmates - but neglected to mention Noel Gallagher.
"Listen kids, I wanna thank bald head (Bonehead), Guigs, Alan White and the best fucking fans in the world," Gallagher explained before throwing his microphone and gong into the audience, before walking offstage.
After he did host Peter Kay was then heard saying "what a knob" and during the commercial break, Brits officials pleaded for the audience member who got the award to give it back, with the fan giving it back after a few minutes.
Radio 2 listeners voted for the award, which is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the London ceremony.
The acts nominated for Brits Album of 30 Years were:
Coldplay - 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' Dido - 'No Angel' Dire Straits - 'Brothers in Arms' Duffy - 'Rockferry' Keane - 'Hopes & Fears' Oasis - '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' Phil Collins - 'No Jacket Required' Sade - 'Diamond Life' The Verve - 'Urban Hymns' Travis - 'The Man Who'

Let's have a bit of context here. It's the Brit Awards. Oasis were up against the likes of Duffy in The Best Album Of The Last 30 Years award. Yeah, just let that sink in, Duffy. Best album of the last 30 years. He's got enough sense to know it's something of a Mickey Mouse award so I can't really fault how he accepted it, I'd be more embarrassed if he expressed even a hint of flattery. I don't really understand why people were expecting him to thank Noel either.

Peter Kay hasn't been funny for the last 5 years anyway. I don't see what all the fuss is about. What else did we expect from Liam? I thought he was pretty cool.

The problem with what Liam did was liam once again was being self cententered. Leading up to the brits Liam was the one saying that this night was for Oasis, but in tomorrow's headline's it wont say Oasis Won the BRIT, instead it will be Liam as the headline. This just him not showing up for the US Tour and MTV Uplugged. Both times it should have been a happy occasion for the group instead Liam made it about himslef. In Boston there was a baseball player called Manny Ramirez and whenever he did something stupid or self centered it was always "oh well its just Manny being Manny" and on this forum its the same thing. When will Liam see that he represents Oasis and what ever he does cast a black eye on it. I also wonder when will some people on this forum see that. Noel should've showed up, but in his defense Liam should've thanked him. Noel wrote all the songs, played like 5 different instruments on WTSMG, and did lead vocal on what might have been the best song on the album. Liam is 37 years old and still hasnt grown up. I wasnt expecting a heart felt speech, but a few nice and consice snentences, him thanking Noel, and going back to his seat would have been enough. When you ask yourself "why dont people look at the music instead of the tabloids?" think back to this because once again when it should have been about the music (ie WTSMG) it was all about the tabloids. What are you on about. Noel could have turned up, but rejected to..... the reason he did that was to create as less drama as possible. you know, let the kid have is candy. noel doesn't give a fuck, he already knows that record is one of the best ever, he doesnt need a night out to show for it.

Nice one. Liam is pure class all the way.
Nice to hear him thank Bone, Guigs and Whitey too.
PS - Anyone thinking he was about to try to clear the air with Noel onstage at the Brits must be smoking crack!

Not that I have much interest in The Brits but...if you're going to present an award for Morning Glory, give it to the legend who wrote it, not the man who can't even remember recording it, or else just don't bother.

Just watching the Brits...
Geri Halliwell is a milf.
She's like your mate's posh mam or summat. She'd get it.
