Wow, 10 years!! Great Oasis song, one of Noels best to this day. The chorus is very catch and the final solo is amazing. This is my favority Oasis song, it was this song that hooked me into Oasis, at the time I've already knew some songs like Wonderwal and Stand By Me, but it was GLIO that make me a madferit. What you guys think of this song??

It hasn't aged one bit. Terrific track and I always loved hearing it live. What a shame they never brought it back.
But I agree with noel that GLIO was the closest OAsis came to sounding like a modern day Beatles.

Great song. I actually like the demo more than the original - I think Noel's voice just suits most of SOTSOG songs.

noel did straight up psychedelia better with DOYS. it's not a terribly strong song, and I don't get what he means by a modern sounding beatles. that's just noel hyperbole again I think. because there's mellotron on it? or is it the beatlesy bassline that is on at least 3 of the SOTSOG tracks?
SOTSOG is such a lost/dark period for oasis. Some real gems, but noel was going for the same kind of sound in DOYS, just to better effect (and with a better producer/studio). The use of beats and slick production is interesting for SOTSOG, but I think after he heard stuff like amorphous androgynous/fsol, he realized the type of psychedelic music he wanted to make in DOYS.
Bag It Up to me is more modern beatles than GLIO. GLIO is more like modern out of touch beatles.

10 years, it's amazing how fast the time's flying away. It also marks my tenth year as a Oasis fan. I remember seeing the music video at my friends house, and just thinking to myself "Whoa, what's this tune? It's brilliant! These guys look really cool to", and it's just spiraled from there. Good times I've got this placed as my second favorite Oasis song, with only The Masterplan before it. Hats off to Go Let It Out!

Go Let It Out to me has always been ok. I can't say I was ever the biggest fan of this song as I have always felt that there was better on the album. Definitely the best single from the album.
It's a fun song and a good time track but, in my own opinion its just ok.

My favorite part is at the end where Liam sings "Don't let in, don't let it in, don't let in " and then it goes into the epic guitar solo. One of my favorite Oasis moments.

Brilliant song. Always thought it was good, though never in my top 10 or even top 20. Always fantastic live and a shame it fell off the setlist

Its a great song and a pretty exciting single first single (I wouldn't know but I would assume it was). Its got that groovy bassline, steady loop, and a killer outro solo. I really like the lyrics most of them don't really mean anything but they just sound cool. Its not my favorite on the album but its a great track and Let's All Make Believe is such a haunting tune.

Go Let It Out is a classic! I love the way it sounds so different from their sound in the 90's. This single release must've been pretty shocking for the fans at the time! But in a good way

Everything I want in an Oasis single. Just about perfect! Great melody, great vocal and an intricate, well-thought out song structure and production technique. It's one of the few Oasis singles from the last decade that I would label "exciting" (along with "Shock of the Lightning" and "Falling Down")

Easily in their top 10 00s songs. Probably top 5.
I can imagine the me of today sitting listening to this for the first time in 2000 and thinking "the jammy sod ripped off the Beta Band!"
Second thing I would have noticed is how fresh the production sounds in comparison to their stuff with Owen Morris.

Now it's 20 years. I didn't like GLIO at first, thought the intro was weird. Now it's my favourite Oasis track (except maybe Headshrinker). SOTSOG needed a few more tracks with a similar mood to GLIO. Many of you will probably have seen the video where Noel is talking about songs like Fools Gold, Smells Like Teen Spirit, and the Sex Pistols album as examples of music that never "dates" and still sounds fresh even today. Does GLIO fit that description?
