l4e, go look at every professional european soccer/football jersey. the nfl may have a shit load of commercials, but they don't have sponsors on their uniforms.
every sport is overcommercialized. that may be sickening, but it's business.

Yeah, but it doesn't take 4 hours to show a 60 minute game. even college football games take three hours to play. i know that from personal experience--i go to a big 12 school.

I was born in England And as a spectator, I'd rather have ads on a kit rather than tv commercials every two seconds.....

BUT, of course i watched the super bowl, like every year. and luckily, over here, they broadcast it without commercials. the game itself is fascinating! and the saints really impressed me: that onside kick after halftime, 2 point conversion with 5 points in the lead. nice. i had the impression that the colts were the better team. manning was doing a great job. but then, this interception... anyway, congrats to new orleans!

Yeah, but it doesn't take 4 hours to show a 60 minute game. If you know enough about football to know that it is a 60 minute game, then you should also know that the clock does not run continuously. Therefore, even games that are not televised and have no advertising take longer than 60 minutes.

Fuck Dat! Vikings outplayed the Saints in the NFC Champioship game, but... The Saints made their big turnover plays in that game, and that is why they won. Hats off to the Saints though. Glad they won, and great for that city.
Still gutted Vikings did not win that game. The OT rule needs to change. Especially in the playoffs. It should not come down to a coin toss. Each team should get the ball. We were screwed on 2 penalities in OT...
Whatever. I am a Vikings fan and should get used to Disappointment.
Hope Favre comes back for one more year. Had his best season of his career.
