 Idles - Tangk [2024] Released yesterday. More subdued than the bands previous efforts but that's ok as sometimes that's when they're at their best. Nigel Godrich's involvement is quite evident in some tracks. Pretty good overall but I need to give it some more spins.  Geese - 3D Country [2023] Seems to be America's answer to Black Country, New Road and the other British and Irish experimental post-punk/art rock bands. It's not for me, but if your a fan of the previously aforementioned band then it might be for you. |

Which of those Doors albums do you like the best? Their debut is my favourite, then after that I have a soft spot for LA Woman. I’ve just been through my annual listen of all the albums - including the two non-Morrison albums). I’d throw Waiting for the Sun into the ring too |

Which of those Doors albums do you like the best? Their debut is my favourite, then after that I have a soft spot for LA Woman. Their first album is also my favorite. For me the second one would be Morrison Hotel. I even like some of the choppier ones on that album (Land Ho! comes to mind!). I have a soft for Strange Days though. |

It’s an intriguing insight into how much Morrison elevated the songs the others wrote. I didn’t know the albums existed for years so it was interesting to visit, if only out of curiosity to hear the other members without him. |

Still unsure how I feel about the Idles album. I love the first track, the fifth (A Gospel?) and the last one. It’s very subdued compared to previous efforts and I don’t mind that at all. It’s just I’m not sure the other songs are hitting me. Maybe not yet.
