Walls and Bridges / Mind Games : two very underrated records from that guy, John Lennon, don't know if you heard about him. Unpopular opinion: these are his best two records. I understand that his first one as well as Imagine are considered better, but Mind Games and Walls and Bridges are a lot less serious and more loose to me. Also a bit more upbeat too. |

I understand that his first one as well as Imagine are considered better, but Mind Games and Walls and Bridges are a lot less serious and more loose to me. Also a bit more upbeat too. Yeah totally, they are fun records, with some kind of new style of melodies (well, it was back then). Unpopular opinion two: I don't really like Plastic Ono Band. It's a very intense record, but it makes me very uncomfortable. Like entering a mental hospital or psychiatry appointment. It's too personal. Scary and very dark. Never managed to listen to it properly. |

I met Jarvis too, very fine dude. Jealous. Hehe sorry. It's a funny story too, i was on vacation in Greece and literally ran into him on a small island in the Cyclades. He was there to get married (that turned out fine) Asked for picture, he was seating at the table with his guests and kindly agreed, we took the photo and chatted, asked stuff about me. Not the other way around. fine, fine dude. maybe i'll share the photo someday  |

Spent the last few hours going through Miles Kane discography Guilty pleasure, as he is probably a bit of a c.unt, but some good tunes Colour of the Trap : great record Don't Forget Who You Are : good record Coup de Grace: Ok record Change The Show : 2 songs out now, two tunes Plus he is half of the Last Shadow Puppets who have to very underrated records. Out of Control and My Fantasy are fantastic tunes, and there's Noel gallagher on one of them ! |

 I got this a year ago when it was released, and while I really liked it, it wasn't getting through to me as it should due to personal bereavement I was experiencing. What disturbed me was that I'd have expected it do hit me right away as it was about grief and mortality. But I put it away for most of this year, couldn't bear to listen to it as it brought back bad memories. Now I've come back to give it another go, and with distance and time, it's almost an exaltation. So uplifting and full of warmth and reassurance, despite it's themes on mortality. Still overwhelmed by If I Was A Priest - just one of his greatest ever songs. |
