When I plug my ipod in to be updated on my itunes library the bit where it shows you the coloured bar when it updates is showning a blue block which is 17gb woth of songs then an orange block that says other which is 8gb. The problem being I don't have a clue what the 8gb is as it's just sort of appeared? I don't have any videos or photos on my ipod apart from the album covers on each song. Anyboody any ideas?

Do you have "enable disc use" checked or unchecked?

Do you have "enable disc use" checked or unchecked? It is checked. What is it supposed to be?

Do you have "enable disc use" checked or unchecked? It is checked. What is it supposed to be? I don't know much about this but basically it means that you allow your ipod to be used as storage device (much like a pen drive). My guess is that your ipod is full of other stuff (not necessarily music, photos or videos) that you may copied into it by mistake or you don't remember.. So try this: connect your ipod to the pc; go to "my computer" and double click on your ipod icon; then search through the folders for any unwanted files. Just don't delete the files that make your ipod work!
