Cesc, no doubt in my mind.

Can't really see how you can compare the two. Frank is more of a goalscorer, Cesc a playmaker, but yeah, in terms of raw ralent, Fabregas by a mile.
If this discussion was 4 years ago, Lampard would definitely get it.
I feel really good about Arsenal this season. There's seems to be a good spirit within the team that hasn't been there for 5 years I think. There's still a few things to iron out but there doesn't seem to be any major problems within the team at the moment.

Paul Scholes. At his peak he could have run rings around either of those two.

...And then put in a mistimed challenge and got himself sent off...

...And then put in a mistimed challenge and got himself sent off... I can assure you there are very few United fans who give a fuck about the man's disciplinary record.

For me Paul Scholes was never as good as people thaught he was. All those years next to Keane made him look a better player.

I seem to remember that he was the only England player who destroyed us in that Euro 2000 play off. Hate Man Utd, but I totally admire the 'ginga ninja' that is Scholes. Fantastic player. At his peak he was better than Lampard and Fabregas, but if Fabregas can maintain consistency, then he'll go above Scholes IMO.

If Fabregas can maintain consistency, then he'll go above Scholes IMO. As class a player as Fabregas is, he's got a lot to do to earn that accolade.

but if Fabregas can maintain consistency, then he'll go above Scholes IMO. Agree with that. I think that he has the potential to be a better all-rounder than Scholesy. Scholes goal-scoring impact decreased down the years, while his playmaking genius keeps improving. I've never seen a player find the spaces he does (let alone pulling off those majestic passes to find a man in it) Fab's got a long way to go to achieve what Scholes does consistently every match though.
