I'm not necessarily asking when the next Oasis album would be released but rather when, if at all, we get a statement saying that Oasis will continue.
My head says it's over - seems like Noel is fed up, he wants to save face as he's done this too many times before and doing it again will be embarrassing, they have families now, and Liam has claimed it's over too.
My heart says that they will reform - They're brothers and can overcome any problem, they've been in this position many times before and have over come it, let's be honest Oasis are both of their lives no matter how much they down play it
With that said, I'm saying 3-5 years they'll be back. Noel said he wanted to take a 5 year break and I think by leaving the band as he did makes sure of that time off but he'll be back.
I can understand quitting after HC....but quitting when on the up from DBTT and DOYS with many potential songs like RM and STC makes no sense to me.
I'm still holding out for a January announcement. And if 2013/2014 comes and goes with no progress only then will I give up hope.
Oasis mean too much to people, they have too much to give still, and they mean too much to themselves as a band to quit.

bout time they split tbh I don't want them to reform but if they do i'd want it to be within 2 or 3 years! Dont want them to go ala Rolling Stones and appear on stage in 2020 trying to pull of a gig in leather trousers.

Definitely more than 5 years. The boys are too stubborn to run back too soon. Noel and Liam will both have to put out at least 1 album...and Noel's is probably a couple years in the coming.
I don't think that they'll ever record together again...but I believe that they will play together again.
I think that Oasis as a viable artist is over though.
