I know what you mean, Caro. I refer to literary language that disappeared almost everywhere except in Spain. In other places / countries where people speak Spanish is no longer used. I simply recommend not to do it in the old fashioned way.
I'm just trying to help, because the only place where he could communicate would be in Spain. If he learns in one way, then THAT will be the only way he'll understand. Unless he becomes an expert in the language would understand the difference, which is even more possible because the other would be if their mother tongue were the Spanish.
In Spain people say: "Hey!, ¿sois el tío aquel gilipollas que le gusta la priba? Sí, sois vosotros".
And elsewhere: "Hey!
I'm just giving my point of view. He's the one who will do what he thinks is correct, I just wanted to help. trust me, i'll be butchering either one ;D Alright then ;D. Sorry if I'm being annoying.

Errr, if you're trying to learn Spanish, I recommend you not to speak the Castilian spoken in Spain, it's a style of literary language that was used many, many years ago. Sounds like you're listening to a person coming from the sixteenth century. ¿Perdón? ¿Estás hablando en serio? Lo dice alguien que utiliza aún el "vos"... yeah but it sounds awful ;D says the mexican guy I know what you mean, Caro. Except when they mix english words, spanglish is a bit harder to get.

Edit* Respondiendo a Mr Floppy*He is spanish ;D Well I'm surprised he doesn't know the meaning then. I have many acquaintances there, mainly in Madrid and Gijón and they use that word when they're referring to alcohol....meh.

Edit* Respondiendo a Mr Floppy*He is spanish ;D Yo soy español español español!

Meh. I love those footballers, except for CR. What a prick. I wish he had never left Man U. Iniesta is one of the best footballers that have seen my beautiful eyes.

I only meant that is a little bit tricky to find the exact board to post something. I only go to the Facts & Fictions and The Lounge, I check the others sometimes. I insist that there should be a board just to talk about music. It's too tedious to talk about DOYS here, about DBTT there, and so on. But yes, it really is an interesting site.
