I would doubt the whole guitar smashing thing. Noel's roadies sort them out on stage. Liam would have to have run on stage and picked it up and then carried it backstage to smash it.

Thought it mightve been commentary of what actually happened. If this Am yMcDonald one saw it then theres a good chance there were lots of witnesses and maybe even video footage would surface. Especially if it was on the way to the stage as seems to be suggested. Gutted about this. Was just about to go to bed but now cant tear myself away from the computer until its dismissed as a hoax (yup, I know I'm kidding myself here!) Don't trust my French let's bump this link til someone is able to translate what is being said It saids, the gig tonight is canceled, the band got a fighting, and Oasis no longer exist, and they canceled the other shows.

Damn, what a shame. I thought all this bs with them was just for more publicity but if Liam is smashing Noels guitars, things have spiraled out of control. I don't think this is the end but if they do ever resolve their differences, it's gonna be a long time in doing so. Whole crop of new questions arises too with the split. Will Noel embark on a Weller/Morrissey/Ian Brown/etc.. solo career? Is Liam done as a musician? What will Andy, Gem and Chris do? Find their own groups or follow Noel or Liam to form a new band? Ugh what a sad Friday

Goodbye Oasis - It was fun "Thank You For The Good Times" though I supose as Noel himself once sung, "I'm Just Gettin Older" but tbh it looks like the end. "Tonnight I'm just a rock n roll star" and they certanly was!!!

He has one backstage. Remember the LDSMD footage of him jamming, sitting next to whatshername.... Sarah, that's the one.

I seriously doubt Liam would smash Noel's guitar. Doesn't seem like he'd do that. Mouth off, swear at him, stomp away, yes...smash a guitar? Uhh doubt it.

He has hit people with baseball bats, so nothing is impossible... Noel broke Liam's bones with cricket bat. If that's what you're referring to.

Some fans in the moshpit have seen Liam taking the guitar (on the stage i presume, the keyboard/drum set/amps were just being installed).. so this info is probably legit. Another french radio journalist in the backstage area talked about the broken guitar too.. You must be fucked up in the head to break someone elses guitar, even more if its one of your brother N. Gallagher. This is just sad..

I wonder what Liam has done, that made them cancel the gig a minute before it started. I was there tonight. Not sure that it was absolutely at the last minute cos I was up near the front and none of the band's gear (Sharrock's drums, the amps, guitars etc.) got to the point where they were setup on stage. Knew something was up when another drum kit and piano (i.e. not Sharrock's or Jay Darlington's) started getting setup about 5 minutes before Oasis were due on. Turned out that this stuff belonged to Madness who filled in for them. Absolutely gutted that this has happened.

I was up near the front and about an hour before they were due on Liam walked into the left and right off-stage areas before disappearing out the back of the stage again a minute or two later. Couldn't see if he interfered with any guitars though.

Anyone speak French - what is this about? Hello, i'm French, i'm gonna try to translate this (my English isn't perfect, sorry): "I announce you that regrettably, at the moment, on the site of rock in the Seine, Liam and Noel fought. The band ...(silence)... doesn't exist any more. It will not play this evening, and cancels the end of his European tour. Noel will explain later this fact. " Sorry, i used a translater, so, this is not perfect. Bon courage à tous.
