While I'm as big a fan as there is, everyone needs to relax.
If they split up, they already gave a plethora of fantastic tunes you can listen to forever.
If they split up, they will get back together at some point.
While I'd be gutted to hear they are splitting up, it really is not that big of a deal when considering the above points.
I think it'd be great to hear a Noel record, which now could happen unhindered. And as my brother just pointed out to me, this opens the door to Liam doing some more "Scorpio Rising" esq projects. This could be fantastic.
Be happy we got 15 years out of them, over 100+ absolutely fantastic songs, and the new material they will do independent of Oasis. It's a natural progression which I kind of welcome after examination.
If you're gonna feel bad for anyone feel bad for Gem and Andy. Those fellows haven't made enough money to just kick back. They got to find their next gig.

A STATEMENT FROM NOEL 28 August 2009
"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.
"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

Let's hope either this ushers in a Noel solo album or he rejoins like he always does.

Yeah maybe but this is the first time Noel's full-out stated "I'm leaving" since the Morning Glory era.

I guess I'm just thankful that Oasis didn't on the first US tour because then we wouldn't have Whatever, Wonderwall, Some Might Say, Acquiesce, Champagne Supernova, Rockin' Chair, D'You Know What I Mean?, Don't Go Away, All Around the World, Go Let it Out, Gas Panic, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, or the Turning. And if we did have these songs, we certainly would have them with Liam.
It was a damn good run.
