These two were regarded the best in England in the 90s. Even as an Arsenal fan I'm tempted to give Pete the nudge because I'm sure the critics would have, too. But fuck it. My Arsenal devotion is too strong, 'Safe Hands' gets my vote.
It's a shame - it doesn't look like we've had goalkeepers as good as those 2 since they left. Petr Cech looked promising early, but has since faded.

the great Seaman I'll vote for Schmeichel, I remember when I was a kid he was seen much better than Seaman I think Cech is great, probably the best after Casillas and Buffon (who is getting old). Is it true that he's not the same since that hit on his head?

Peter The Great, no doubt about it!

They dont even compare. Schmeichel was the greatest ever, and thats from a Liverpool fan, probably followed by Neville Southall.

yeah cech ain't the same, but he's still top quality. casillas is a better barthez- superb reflexes, great positioning, but makes massive mistakes. and buffon, he's faded since juve got into that scandal.
besides cech i'd say the best keepers around are reina, julio cesar and shay given.
