Pretty damn good album, innit. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/7QKGdm487eYnX65W8w0g.gif) Album of the year so far, no doubt. And a nice Oasis reference in there - On Back Where It Started: "If there answer's maybe, I say definitely" ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) May I Suggest, Encouraging Sign, Got No Interest, Answer My Call, and Live the Life are fucking mega. Got No Interest and Live the Life both have to be my favorite Twang songs ever, pure quality.

The Twang has to be the most under rated band, it does my head in.

It's better than Kasabian, thats for fucking sure. Some of you need to come off that average band. Good tracks on a the Twang album but far away from the perfect quality Kasabian Album. And this band is not underated, they've got solids two or three tracks but they've got a real problem in the composition and voices. It's boring after 2 listennings.

Is it still just the web rip that floating about? Or is it a proper leak?

I like the Twang and the new album. But it can't be compared to the latest Kasabian album.

I really don't understand people's problem with this band/album: Vibrant, catchy, solid enough lyrics, fun......

I can't get passed the singers voice. It really bugs me but the sound is pretty good.

I really don't understand people's problem with this band/album: Vibrant, catchy, solid enough lyrics, fun...... I notice you keep describing this band as "vibrant, catchy" etc. ....I'm pretty sure Britney Spears, The Ting Tings and Girls Aloud can also be described in that way; don't make them all that good.

This is a great album.
You may not like The Twang and agree with the press, but I think the press has their mind made up before they even write the review.
I can understand saying "Love it When You Feel Like This" - their debut - be regarded as disappointing - but surely no less than 3/5! It's solid enough.
But their follow up? Jewellery Quarter? This album is just amazing. 4/5 to 4.5/5
I count 2-3 fillers: Twit Twoo(?), Williamsburg, Back Where We Started - and none of those 3 are even bad.
I like Another Bus....but think it's a poor closer.
This album wipes the floor with the new Arctic Monkeys album. I know the bands are incomparable, but I'm comparing them for the sake of how the media treats both bands: Bashing everything The Twang come up with, and praising everything from the Monkeys
Encouraging Sign, Got Not Interest, Answer My Call and then Live the Life - all in the middle of the album? Brilliant. Surrounded by good tunes, too.
No idea what the press are on about. The fact that this album has gotten reviews as low as 1.5/5 makes this band the most under rated mainstream band out there.
[Side Note: While I like The Enemy well enough, they sure as hell deserve their critics....the twang, espcially due to this album, do not]
Album of the year so far. I've been pleasantly surprised by the Birmingham lads.
Next album I'm looking forward to: Third Eye Blind. ----- -----
Really, how can you not like this album? It's melodic, has solid lyrics, vibrant, passionate, better than their debut, good vocals, few fillers, great guitar and drum work, and a fantastic bass line on Live The Life, and catchy as fuck.
"BUT I GOT TO SAY, GOT IT OFF MY CHEST" - orgasmic.

Got a promo copy of this the other day at work after hearing the web rip.
Probably on a par with the first album I'd say - some really great tunes with a few fillers.
The best ones for me are Took the Fun, Barney Rubble, Got No Interest, Answer My Call and Encouraging Sign which is fantastic.
Sad to see it's getting such a slating from most reviewers, The Twang remind me of The Farm in the way they've been hyped up only to then find themselves on the receiving end of an almighty backlash.
Some of the reviews I've read even say this will surely be the last album they make which would be a great shame, although reading the interview with Jon and Phil in the NME it sounds as though they're thinking the same thing.

I was into these when their first album came out, and it was quality. I listened to all the hype about this album on the radio and its come out but I don't rate it, I think it could be the singers voice.

A few people have said that - don't notice a difference from the first album though to be honest.
