No, not his commitment. While he will probably fuck off to Spain one day, he's def. committed to Arsenal for the foreseeable future, I don't doubt that.
What I do worry about, though, is him growing an ego and destroying him. We've seen it happen constantly in football even with Thierry Henry who, despite being amazing become an arrogant bastard in his latter years with Arsenal. (Don't get me wrong, I harbour no ill feelings with Theirry, I respect him, and I can't say that about Cashley Cole but there's no doubt it was time for him to move on, he grew too big for his boots, plus physically he couldn't handle the premiership anymore, imho).
And I fear the same will happen with Cesc....but it's more detrimental because he's young and at the beginning of his career.....losing him to his ego now is more significant than losing Henry when we did.
I love Cesc. He's been my boy since he came up to the first team in 2004. The closeness in age helps, I guess.....but he's a footballing genuis: Great vision, SUPERB passing, and packs a good fight for such a little guy.
He's been my favorite player since 2004. Reyes was 2nd for a time, but he never developed his potential.
With Cesc growing older, with him acknolwding how great he is as the press descend on him as being one of the best in the world, with him acquiring the captiancy, with him having had a TV Program Special in his name (which I enjoyed, but how big headed!), I worry.
I hope the little spainard can keep his emotions realistic and not get too egotistical.
This player is a gem, and one of Wengers best ever signings - and that's saying something!

2003 was his debut in the Carling Cup I remember - 16 years old. I'm worried he may develop an ego - his lack of fight against Man Utd in the semi final was apparent, and he never comforted the young and brilliant Kieran Gibbs when he made that mistake, instead only Van Persie comforted him - but then again, barring Van Persie, that's the sort of typical attitude of this Arsenal team - mentally weak.
I do wish he'd stop flirting with Spanish clubs all the time - it's doing my friggin nerves in I'm telling you.

you lost Henry to a bigger club not his ego Yes, Henry had a good season last year, but he clearly showed in 2006 that he was either passed it or his heart wasn't in it anymore (or both). And his attitude in the last couple seasons with Arsenal are pathetic - brushing Reyes' hand of his shoulder when he scored, etc....there's no doubt that letting him go freed the young gunners from his arrogant wrath....an Arsenal legend, no doubt, but Wenger shipped him off at the right time

I was becoming fed up of him - prime example was away to PSV Eindhoven in 2007. Arsenal weren't playing very well and he kept shrugging his shoulders at every single one of his players. I thought 'get your fucking act together - you're one of the worst players out there tonight, stupid prick'. Really, I was that mad - worst thing was he was the bloody captain aswell.
