I read this in the Live4ever Music Magazine:
"The absence of Bag It Up or The Turning is a slight disappointment. These are two of the best songs on the new album, in fact two of the best Noel has written in a long time. It’s a shame really, but Shock Of The Lightning, Waiting For The Rapture, I’m Outta Time, To Be Where There’s Life and Falling Down, just about quench my thirst for new material."
(http://www.live4ever.uk.com/2009/07/all-my-people-right-here-right-now-oasis-at-wembley-stadium-9709/?utm_campaign=Tritter%20Response&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitter)
And I agree, Bag It Up and The Turning are among the best of DOYS. But let's say, for the sake of simplicity, we add those 2 songs to the current set list from DOYS:
Bag It Up The Turning Waiting for the Rapture The Shock of the Lightning I'm Outta Time Falling Down To Be Where There's Life Ain't Got Nothing --
The only songs not mentioned are: HHL, TNOR, and SO.....
....now of course we can do without AGN, and Noel hasn't perfected FD yet (but it's a must, although not in the Encore, and he'll have it perfect during the next tour as he did with TIOBI)
That's almost the entire album that we want to see played live! Can you say that for HC? I don't think so.

DOYS is a class album, but I prefer Heathen Chemistry, the production is immense and I'd love too hear loads of tunes off HC again.
Waiting for the Rapture is the best Noel song in years IMO.

HC production bordered between bland and cliched...but played live, those songs are really something else. Even LBL takes on a new life.
FD woudl be best semi acoustic and I'm still hoping ot hear a stadium singing along to HHL.

I wouldn't enjoy their gig if they only play the songs from DOYS or even worse, I might leave the venue before the gig ends.

NL4E, actually you can say the same for HC. When I saw them in 02, they played nearly the entire album with the exception of A Quick Peep, She is Love, Probably All in my Mind, and The Cage. It was a bad ass show.

It was a bad ass show. Yeah, but the difference here is that people want most of DOYS played. I can't imagine many people actually wanting to hear the shit that is Force of Nature or Hung in a Bad Place So in reality there are really on 5 tunes that people cared about live from HC, compared to 7or 8 from DOYS....

The only thing I'm annoyed about is that Bag It Up and The Turning weren't played, yet crap like Ain't Got Nothin was.
I would go home happy if they threw in some unpredictable great tunes. They seriously should be doing All Around The World as the encore instead of I Am The Walrus.

No. It just means people like to complain about the setlist.

They played every song on Don't Believe The Truth except for Keep The Dream Alive and Let There Be Love...shows how good that album was...don't think they played Part Of The Queue either actually, but still, 8/11 songs..

It really disappoint me they dont play Bag It Up in the gigs.I think it's the best song in DOYS and the first time I hear it I was so sure about they will play this song in the tour.

It's not about how good the album is, it's about how it sounds live... Noel said that they rehearsed Bag It Up and we all heard The Turning... my guess is that Liam couldn't reach the high notes and it sounded shit... same for Part Of The Queue for exemple, it didn't sound good live so they didn't play it, but it's an awesome song...
