Good riddance - I'd bite anyone's hands off who offers even £10 million for this money grabbing sulky prat.
And no, I'm not going to act like half of the fake Man Utd fans who desperately wanted to keep Ronaldo, and then when he left, it was like 'well, we never needed him anyway'. Half way through last season, I couldn't wait to see the back of him, so please just go now Ade.
And for those who say 'You'll be missing loads of goals next season', then I'm sure we can compensate for a striker who had hundreds of chances at goal and only scored 16 - should of been much more.
He is just one of the examples of what is wrong with many Arsenal players - he's can't be arsed half the time, he flirts with every club under the sun, he's arrogant, and he's not fulfilling his potential.
I find it such a great shame how many players like Adebayor who came for a poverty striken backround now demand more money than they need - so disrespectful to everyone, especially those who live a shit life in Togo.
As for Man City, they're becoming a joke at the moment - along with Real Madrid, these two are prime examples of what is wrong with football today. Clubs throwing stupid money around in this economic climate, while players are just going for the money. Benzema had options to go to Man Utd but didn't take it - now I ain't a Man Utd fan, but they are miles better than Madrid and he and various other players are just going for the money. Stupid pricks.
Also, this attitude of 'let's by strikers and JUST strikers' ain't going to win City the league. They need to get their fucking priorities in check.
It's time to introduce a budget cap in football like they are planning to do in F1. Talk of budget restrictions were laughed upon in F1 eight years ago, so don't say it won't work in football. By having budget cuts in football, it would restore some dignity to an already fucked up sport.

How much are they paying him? According to reports, £25 million for the transfer to Arsenal and £170,000 a week.

Crap player joining a crap strikeforce. Adebayor, Santa Cruz and Craig Bellamy are useless, abosolutely useless. Why pay nearly £60m for these flops? Ched Evans won't get a game, Tevez won't score alot, maybe 7 and Robinho will be left on his own on the left wing trying to do a Ronaldo and go past everybody. The only decent player City have brought is Gareth Barry, who like Tevez and Adebayor, went solely for the money. They won't get Terry and nobody wants the heap of shit that is their captain Richard Dunne, not even City themselves.
I'm a United fan and sure, you'll be thinking 'Look who you've brought' but I'd rather have Owen, a guy who is near enough 100% going to score for you, even if he only plays 30 games a season. By his goal to game ratio, he'd hit about 15 in 30, a goal every 2 games. No City striker will hit 15 next season and I doubt between all 6 of them they'll even hit 50.

I'm in the good riddance school of thoughts. If someone wants to pay £25m for him than we'd be stupid to turn it down, just better replace him though or we can kiss whatever little chance we have of actually winning something this year goodbye.
Van Persie & Bendtner have about as much chance of forming a decent partnership as Elton John and Jodie Marsh.

Bendtner must of been taught finishing at the Adebayor Footballing School - he gets 100 chances and he only scores once out of 100.

Best day of my fucking life.
He had one flukey season after which he demanded a massive pay rise and almost betrayed us by fucking off to AC Milan. Then he was shit the next (last) season, and was completley AWOL during both legs of the CL Semi Final.
He's unmotivated, lazy, and clumsy. It takes him 10 chances to score 1 goal. He doesn't understand the offside rule.
25 million? Good business. And good riddance.
Now Wenger can sign a proper striker.
(Hopefully Eboue is next in line to be flogged off, that diving, no talented "right winger")

(Hopefully Eboue is next in line to be flogged off, that diving, no talented "right winger") Agree with you completely there on Adebayor, but the criticism of Eboue is a tad harsh. If Sagna were to be injured, then Eboue can take over pretty decently. And to be fair on him, he performed alright in the latter half of the season. Yes, I do wish we had more quality than him but he'll have to do for the meantime. As for Sagna, if he produces another shocker like he did against Man Utd in the CL, then hopefully Eboue will rise up to the challenge. But Adebayor - I can't wait for him to go. He's just Kanu Lite. I wouldn't pay more than £6 million for him, so that's why I think £25 million is excellent business. At the end of the day, he's just a stupid idiot who's not as good as he thinks he is.

Great he's gone. Now £25 million should be spent on a quality striker.
