There'll be a first come, first serve Golden Circle I should think. From the Ricoh website: One of the biggest bands in British music history, Oasis, will rock the Ricoh Arena in Coventry next summer. The Gallagher brothers will be playing their only Midlands gig in the stadium bowl at the £113 million venue on Tuesday, July 7. The group – who have sold over 50 million records – are back in the charts with their seventh number one studio album Dig Out Your Soul. Tickets for the Coventry date will go on sale at 9am next Thursday (October 30) as part of Oasis's biggest ever tour of open air venues in the UK and Ireland next summer. Coventry band The Enemy, who sold 16,000 tickets during two nights in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh in April, will be providing the support. Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, said he expected the Oasis gig to match the 40,000 tickets sold for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bon Jovi’s first concert. “Oasis are one of the biggest ever bands not just in this country but throughout the world,” he said. “We are absolutely delighted that Liam and Noel Gallagher will be performing in Coventry and this is a major coup for the Ricoh and the city. “The Enemy were a massive hit with the crowd when they played here earlier this year and it will be fantastic to see them play in the stadium bowl at the Ricoh this time. “Having Oasis and The Enemy on the same bill means this is going to an unmissable night. “We have worked really hard to entice music promoters to the Ricoh Arena and securing this Oasis date means we are firmly established on the map. They are, without doubt, once of the biggest bands in British music history. “We will have a limited number of tickets to sell at the venue and we expect tickets to sell extremely quickly so I would advise everyone to buy their tickets early to avoid any disappointment. “This is going to be the biggest concert of 2009 in the Midlands – and it is happening at the Ricoh Arena.” The tickets are £45 subject to a booking fee and are available via See Tickets at www.seetickets.com or by ringing 0871 230 7137. There will be an allocation to sell from the Ricoh Arena ticket office to personal callers only from 9am next Thursday (October 30). The ticket office is open from 9am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday and between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Saturdays. Oasis, with guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Chris Sharrock completing the line-up, will be playing at Sunderland's Stadium of Light, Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Slane Castle in Dublin, Ireland, during their 2009 summer tour. The band shot to fame in 1994 with album Definitely Maybe before (What’s the Story) Morning Glory sold four million copies. Oasis have also enjoyed number one success with the albums Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe the Truth. The Ricoh Arena would like to request fans visiting the stadium for the Oasis concert on Tuesday, July 7 do not bring along umbrellas for use in the stadium bowl. For reasons of health and safety, and to ensure the best viewing experience possible for all visitors, those carrying umbrellas will not be permitted access to the stadium bowl.

One of Noels best entries yet:
07/07/09 'Boom! Boom!! D'you know what that is? That's the sound of thunder - or so my little lad informed me over the weekend.
How's things? Fine and dandy? Good.
Am in Coventry today. Haven't been here since, ooh 2 months ago. Came to see The Specials, innit?
After a week of glorious weather while we were away it's pissing down. C***'s trick. The Ricoh Arena's mega though. Very tidy. Looking forward to tonight.
My mates "Free Peace" are opening up. Good boys. Top band.
The Enemy are the main band on before us tonight. Kasabian are busy being weird somewhere odd. It's a homer for them. Should be mad as fuck.
Wonder what Bruno will wear tonight? Mr al Fayed's shoes have made their long-awaited re-appearance! Life's been dull without them.
This Mike Jackson thing's dragging on a bit, innit? Who do they think he is, Jade Goody? Listen out for the dedication tonight. There's bound to be one. If it's during Live Forever I may do a little poo-poo..then vomit.
In a bit.
GD.'

does anyone who remember the comments during the show? Liam at the end: "YOU'RE FUCKING GOOD COVENTRY, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS US, BECAUSE I AM THE WALRUS" Liam during the show: "THIS ONE'S FOR THE SKY BLUES... THE REAL SKY BLUES, MCFC!" Noel dedicated HALF THE WORLD AWAY to the specials who were in the crowd, bigged them up. Liam normal incoherent blabber/banter with the crowd, kicking off with himself etc. Noel dedicated a song to the enemy. Liam saw a group of people wearing his fashion label and dedicated a song to the "pretty green posse". All i can remember atm any other questions im happy to answer

Lyla was a highlight for me which is surprising because the two other times i saw them this tour it was a lowlight. did you notice how happy noel was for the whole gig? he kept throwing his plectrum at the end of songs while raising his head all ecstatically. was really fucking cool. where you need the front? the guy in front of me caught the microphone and that black geeza with his top off behind me got the tambourine.
top fucking gig. better than bournemouth and heaton park.
