Other than the idiotic moan, it's pretty damn good (although the complaints about the Iraq War would have been more warranted in 2005 than now, but whatever).
So far, we've heard this one above, and Non Dairy Creamer (which is good at best), and Red Star (which is even better).
Their album is due out around August 20 -- I think it's going to be disappointing because it's taken them 5+ years to complete, which is just pathetic, plus its politically oriented which is always a tricky thing to do correctly along with Bush now being out of office.
But it's a band I enjoy and these 3 songs are decent enough for me eagerly anticipate it.
ATM, I'm really looking forward to the Third Eye Blind Release in late August and The Twang's second album in mid July....
Best lyric from that song: "Rap stars rap about shooting eachother - whatever happened to 'brother, brother'"....Fucking truth. Rap now is pathetic.
What a great band. It's a shame they've taken so long between albums (Going to be 4 albums in 12 years? WTF), they could have been massive if they kept the 1997 momentum. Still, they're up there was one of my favorite bands.

I wouldn't exactly call "A girl who wears a dirty shirt, she knows exactly what she's worth to me " brilliance, nor does it speak to me but that doesn't make the song shit nor the band itself horrible. [AND THAT'S NOT EVEN WITH ME MENTIONING AGN, LITTLE JAMES, ANOR, ETC]

Some of the best on DOYS If you're gonna have a pop at someone at least make yourself seem credible by providing decent examples.

"Belief does not existence make, it's only in your mind" may SOUND brilliant but it really isn't. Grammatically, it doesn't even make sense. So when you twist it back to normal english it says "Belief does not make existence". Wellm no fucking shit. Don't tell the 5 year olds that, though, other wise they'll stop believing in Santa. Andy thought that by twisting lyrics around to a non-sensical form it would make him sound smarter. For a couple weeks I caved into that thought and believed it was awesome - but it didn't take me long to see this flaw....everything, bar the solo, in TNOR is idiotic. It's up there with PYMYWMI as the worst Oasis song ever.

Oh, yeah. YOU.

Oh, yeah. YOU. No. It brings everything full circle - you're bitching about lyrics in 3EB songs and don't like 3EB as a band, but if you use the same 'logic' with Oasis it doesn't follow through....It was actually very smart on my part what I did there

If you don't like the song or the band, that's fair play. But don't say you hate the lyrics and thus hate the band - do you like every Oasis lyric to every song? Point made.

I didn't said I didn't like the band.
I don't like them, but it isn't only because of their lyrics. It's because their music, to me, is dull and boring. Someone could say the same about Oasis or ANY OTHER BAND EVER.
But don't worry, I'll stop. I honestly feel bad for you if you're looking forward to The Twang's new album.

This song is like Semi-charmed Life, but without the catchy bits.

Why the US sound is so bad ?
The voice (or accent) is shit... This song got a potential... but not...
US have a real problem with music... the only great artist I love from US is this man :
Hero for me. The most tragedic song I heard... with a beautiful voice from Thom Yorke at the middle of the video...

There's a lot of fucking great American bands.
Third Eye Blind, however, is not one of them.

Even though this band is shit, there's some unfuckingbelievably great music being made in the US. Way better than in the UK

Give Slow Motion a listen: That is fucking amazing. third eye blind is great, their 1997 self titled album is definitely one of the best albums of the 90s (although DM and MG are way better), Slow motion is an amazing song, one of my favorite third eye blind songs ever. Pumped for Ursa Major

I'm not very fond of 3EB's second album, "Blue," (other than "Slow Motion") but I really enjoyed their first and especially their third albums. Honestly, if I were to criticize them, I'd criticize their music more than their lyrics. I've always thought of their lyrics as a strong point when compared to other bands...
Wake for Young Souls (their best song, imo): God of Wine is a good one too. I can't find a link to the album version though.
I fully expect their next album (which is politically-slanted) to make "21st Century Breakdown" seem elementary. That's not saying much though, I suppose...

the brother brother line is a reference to Marvin Gaye's "what's going on."
