Just picked up their new album Merriweather Post Pavillion, it's pretty damn good. Anyone else dig 'em?
Also, while I'm on the subject of American indie, has anyone heard the new Grizzly Bear album? I was tossing between these two albums, but I the songs I've heard of the Grizzly Bear album sound pretty good.

MPP is pretty good, though I can't say I've listened to it a whole lot since January when it came out. Tried out Strawberry Jam, wasn't really my thing.
And I've been meaning to listen to the new Grizzly Bear album for a while.

MPP is very good but listening from start to finish is very taxing. I also have Strawberry Jam which is quite good too. Their earlier stuff is supposed to be more folk-y but I haven't listened to any of that, any recommendations?
I haven't listened to Grizzly Bear's new one yet but I will do so in the next week or so. I recently downloaded Department of Eagles and I love it.
American Indie is producing great bands and for the last year or so I've been digging a lot of them. People who criticize american music using fall out boy, green day and britney spears as examples should dig deeper because America is producing way better music than the UK lately.

It's just a shame that the general public in America don't catch on. I mean, the UK and US share a lot of the same shit on their charts, but it seems like the UK catches on a lot faster with American bands.
God bless you lot for supporting The Strokes way back when.

Yeah I agree, American music is particularly great at the moment. I haven't heard any of their early stuff, I might check it out after I listen to MPP a bit more. I was surprised to see that Grizzly Bear album got to no. 8 on the US charts, that's freaking high for an indie band like them.

No way. King of Limbs is rubbish, but Radiohead aren't trying to be some quasi-Beach Boys, freak folk band. If anything, they're leaning more towards trip-hop and Portishead with their last album.

I agree with this but Staircase, The Daily Mail, and Supercollider, all released in 2011 but left off the non-deluxe edition of The King of Limbs CD, are as good as anything Radiohead has ever put out, all 3 are exceptionally fine recordings.

I prefer Feels, to be honest. MPP doesn't really stand up three years after release.
