Definitley the biggest Oasis tour. The UK leg will play to over 1/2 million fans alone.
I would expect Australia and New Zealand to follow at the end of this year.
Once it's over i can't see Oasis touring for at least 3 years.

would they tour in 2011? It's their 20th year as a band after all or would they just release a special dvd?

Maybe they'll add a couple gigs, but I'll doubt they'll extend the tour 'till the end of the year, they are too lazy for that, and Noel has been complaining from a long time now about how tired he is...

By far the biggest. Not just in the number of gigs but the size and capacity. The summer stadium tour alone has shown they can sell out stadiums night after night, even 9 months after the release of the album they're promoting.
Knebworth is seen as the highlight of their careers but it was a one off gig (or pair of gigs). There's only a handful of bands who could sell out one stadium nevermind 10 nights.
Realistically, where do they go from here?

I think is very possible a split... that's why they did this supergigs... to emulate knebwort and then go away on their glory

Never forget that tour they did a round of huge Outdoor gigs, Knebworth, Slane, Loch Lomand, all venues bigger than any stadium (im forgetting 1 or 2 i cant remember!)

Noel's already gone on record saying that the next album is pretty much completed. Although I'm sure plans will change within 3-4 years. But nah, they aren't hanging up the mics just yet. Liam has been the most outspoken and passionate member of the band thus far talking about keeping Oasis going. With the likes of Record Machine to be properly recorded and released, this band is no where near retiring just yet, nor have they petered out in respect to popularity nor quality. 10 years in them (2-4 more albums or so), at least.

a tour of this size must be very exhausting and intense hence all the crap from Noel about being fed up and having a break, and this being the last tour. once the tour finishes and they realise that mundane day to day life is no comparison to being on the road and releasing records the spark is reignited. but i suspect it will take 2 or 3 years to happen as has been the case in the past. oh, and lets not forget the hughe sums of money involved in touring. the oasis brand is a real money maker for liam and noel and they will not give it up in a hurry, nor should they.
