Huge up-roar here on the radio.
People who paid for tickets were able to get in without being searched, and this made them ring all their friends in Dublin to come down.
Concert-goers who have been to Slane on numerous occasions said '' that there was no way that was 80,000."
Drugs Swoops, Broken legs, and trampling also confirmed.
I thought it was a great gig. ;D

Thing about knebworth is its pretty much flat, spreads wide and far back. At Slane, for about 40,000 people deep its wide, and then theres a massive hill on the left side of the ampitheatre where i was standing, whereas the right side rises up more gradually and spreads around like a well, ampitheatre! So you've 40k down the front and about 60k round the hills! Its fucking huge, definitely a bigger attendance than the Wembley 2000 show i was at. The queue's were overwhelming, to be honest they put a huge dampner on the day. I arrived at the Boyne Bridge around 3 and didnt get into the venue until 6 (thats a mile and a bit walk along the side of the river taking nearly 3 hours to travel along on foot). 5 people were checking the tickets of 100,000 people.. how stupid was that? I missed Kasabian because of it and I was fucking fuming...
The worst thing was when we were let out at the end, a nice big massive road 4 times as wide as the path we all trickled up, if they hadda let people in via the road, it would have been a far better organised affair.

I never listen to Joe Duffy, always fools giving out. Huge up-roar here on the radio. People who paid for tickets were able to get in without being searched, and this made them ring all their friends in Dublin to come down.Concert-goers who have been to Slane on numerous occasions said '' that there was no way that was 80,000." Drugs Swoops, Broken legs, and trampling also confirmed. I thought it was a great gig. Still need a ticket to get in so theres no point in this comment. Its a concert, of course people will be drunk. Heck I was one of these people who was pissed by 3 o'clock Organisation wasn't too bad, needed more bards tho as "2 pints per person" held it up even longer than usual. Cant blame them for the long walk back to busses, do people expect to easily walk at a fast pace with 80,000 people going the same direction. Have to laugh at the excuse: "we didnt expect so many people to take public transport" when this has been drilled into us as the "best way to get to/from a concert" from several years now. Back to the drink/drugs, again its a rock concert so expect both. Oasis attracts its far share of scumbags, no question about that, if you want to do drugs (not saying your a scumbag), they're gonna be done. Thought it was quite civilised leaving, stupid people saying "Thought it was going to be another hillsbrough", clueless vaginas. Its a rock and roll concert so expect moshing/pushing etc. (wasn't around for The Prodigy so wouldn't suprise me if a few "hard heads" were acting up thinking they're mad), but anytime some fell near me there was people helping them straight back up. If your didnt want this, sit on the hill out of the way then. This is not a coldplay concert so up the front means up the fucking front. - Jesus, could of wrote my full review of the gig its self there

Seriously. If you're gonna do drugs, do 'em. But don't brag about it. Lame.
