I saw 3 bus loads going there at half 11 this morning. People waving Oasis flags and screaming at me through the window. Ruined my day.

btw, liam's got to be pissed with all his tunes but Songbird being axed....

maybe that's the reason noel and liam are pissed at each other - noel doesn't want too many liam tunes in the setlist (or liam wants more) ? could that be possible?

i'm sick of hearing about gas panic, IT AINT THAT GOOD A SONG
"oh but it's about coming of drugs and it has meaning"
what the fuck ever man, it will never be one of Oasis's greats
IOT is alright live, personally would prefer one or two more DOYS songs or classics like some might say, bring it on down, columbia etc

Just crawled out of my bed an thought i would share my thoughts !!!!!
First, to set the record straight, Im Outta Time .... WAS played.
The setlist was the EXACT same as normal.
The weather today was perfect for a concert in my opinion, nice n dry and a bit of Sun when Oasis came on. Kasabian were fantasic, but only got to here the Prodigy as i was standing in at the bar queuing for 1 hour and 20 minutes for a pint. When i got to the bar, you could only buy 2 drinks. This in itself caused a problem and angered a lot of fans who started getting a bit fed up. Luckily we had a good bit of banter in the queue and met some nice people. Didnt mind missing the Prodigy as they never have interested me but they sounded good from where i was anyway.
The lack off beer did solve one very big problem though which seemed to have been with the other big gigs. No pints being thrown! I never seen 1 pint being thrown the whole day which suprised me a lot. Maybe i got lucky, but the only thing that laded anywhere near me was a bag of crisps. So i guess it wasnt all bad.
This was my 4th trip to slane, and due to the set-times, Oasis only played in the dark for the last 2 songs, and even at the end, it wasnt completely pitch dark like other Slanes ive been to. The fact it was in June may have somthing to do with this as Slane is normally an August gig. It was probably the better organised than before, and i was again to see the atmosphere was very good natured, considering Ireland has an much lids than anywhere else in the world.
Now to Oasis.....
BRILLIANT AGAIN as usual. Crowed were up for it from the start and every song was received really well. The band didnt say much on stage, as usual, but Liam did say that the crowed were Fucking Biblacle!!!!! Roll With It, The Masterplan, My Big Mouth, Champagne Supernove were highlights, but it was either Dont Look Back In Anger or Live Forever which had the crowd eating out of there hands. Plenty of hugs and pints aloft as probably the longest Oasis set-list seemed the shortest. Liam dedicated Songbird to the missus who he said "she's probably in fucking bar or somthing", while Noels main dedication of the night went to "the bloke at the very very very very very fucking back, way past the catering, DLBIA, every fucking note".
Leaving slane to the Fireworks and the ringings of I Am The Walrus, thousands rushed out but due to the very small road, some didnt get home to 5 or 6 this morning. Id say thats why there hasnt been a review or 2 yet.
Finally to that age old problem..... Liams Voice, tonight at times, yes it was a problem, not that 99% of the crowd would have telled, but during Champagne Supernove especially, it was sounding tired and empty. Liams problem is that for the first .5 seconds of the line he sings, sound fantastic but it fades out to a whinge and his voice rattles and looses breath. Shock of the lightning was very poor as was Supersonic. Lyla on the otherhand was great for once, and Roll with it was perfect. I think it just becomes tired towards the end of the gig more. Still as ive said, nobody really notices and when you shift tickets like Oasis... how do you tell them they need to change things?
To some up, it was a brilliant day, good vibe, good music, mega slow queue for beer, Oasis great and a very successful day for Oasis in Ireland.

Crowd was amazing, was down the second barrier since 2 o'clock kasabian were brilliant, It got dangeroud were I was during the Prodigy but Oasis blew everyone else of stage. Could barely hear Noel and Liam sing because everyone in the crowd sang for every song. Magical eveaning. Everyone I talked to said it was the best they'd ever seen Oasis

i thought noel and liam were both great and had a good laugh with the crowd, the righteous people of the republic of ireland the prodigy, kasabian and glasvegas were amazing as well, missed the blizzards. pints were definitely thrown!

Best Oasis gig of the decade I suppose? Damn I would like to say I was there too! I haven't got the authority to say that but what I will say is if yesterday wasn't something special then Oasis truley are the best live band in the world

Must say Kasabian were awesome, where I was (second barrier) a security guard had to come into a mosh pit, and get some poor lad in head lock.
Oasis...well for me the best tunes (12/10) on the night were (no order)
half the world away Don't Look back In Anger (man at the back, every fucking note of this is for you) Falling Down I am the Walrus
As Liam said at the end ''fucking biblical"!!
