Read some devastating news about a gang of five vicious thugs who horrifically beat up a man prior to Oasis coming on stage. Security did fuck all and the victim was knocked out.
Let's just hope these vicious fuckers are caught, brought to justice and the key thrown away when sent to prison.

more disturbing is the lack of security by the sounds of it
why didnt people break it up? 60,000 versus 5? come on ............ the guy was probably there to enjoy great gig

Was at the concert and witnessed the whole assault was terrible. 2 stewards got involved after a few minutes both were female and could do nothing to stop it. edinburghnews.scotsman.com/topstories/Violence-erupts-at-Murrayfield-Oasis.5378655.jpThe following video show's the people involved to hopefully catch them www.dailyrecord.co.uk/videos-pics/news/news-videos/2009/06/18/oasis-fan-attack-86908-21452400/Along with a news article www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/2009/06/19/oasis-gig-attackers-86908-21453457/Wasn't the only assault i witnessed unfornately and lack of security. A woman was up near us had been constantly falling out with her partner throughout the concert she kept crying and him walking away. Eventually he was standing at the back and she went up. Next minute she's falling down the stairs so i went to help tried to sit her up and her partner was grabbing her saying she was going he let go and she cracked her head off of the stair and was knocked out I thought she was dead Next minute there was about 2-3 guy's starting on her partner and fighting about including falling on the stairs and over the girl and my wife who was also trying to help. Somebody had been down to get a steward when she first fell the steward came up went back down and just laughed with the other stewards until the fight broke out and then they came up though didn't manage to break the fight up or seem to have a clue what was happening despite everyone telling them. Afterwards i had to go find the supervisor to tell her what happend and give my name as a witness. Night was ruined after that and we left after about 5-6 songs. The people up beside us though most were just there enjoying themselves a few were over the top drunk could barely stand falling all about the place and making a nusiance of themselves but there was not enough to stewards to cope. Was only about 1 steward for every section and i only saw 1 steward come up the stairs once the whole night. People were drinking bottles of buckfast, vodka etc. in open view of the stewards within the stadium and nothing was done. Was total chaos was the same outside the ground people drunk and going about saying there looking for a fight. I'm not the biggest oasis fan but went to see them live as i thought it would be a great night even better that i'm a big fan of all 3 support bands but i was disapointed wish i'd sold the tickets on as i would have rather had the cash. Hope they catch everyone who did it the assault was quite vicious and it wasn't until the crowd started to break it up that people backed off. More worrying the time it took medical support to arrive he must have been there for about 10-15 minutes before getting stretchered away which is quite bad considering they had to mop up all the blood.

What a bunch of muppets man. Although I'm suprised that people are suprised that something like this might happen at a big Oasis gig. Unfortuanatley, Oasis attract a load of idiots.
There would have been thousands of lads getting pissed all day on Wednesday and thats always a recipe for trouble - why do you think the big football games have their kick-off's brought forward these days? Its so nobody can sit in the pub all day getting blootered before the game.
Don't get me wrong, I've done it myself before, when they played Hampden in 2005, 20 of us went down to Glasgow from Dundee in a minibus and we were all drinking and fuck knows what else all the way down the road and then went straight to a pub when we got there. None of my mates are trouble makers, but that scenario would have been repeated a thousand times over on Wednesday night.
Anyway, hope they get these guys who battered that boy.

What were liams comments on the matter? I've hoped to read more in the press about it and hoped to hear mention of how the girl was from beside us that fell down the stairs but not heard anything. Fear this'll probably just get swept under the carpets it's not Oasis's fault more the fault of the security which was lacking. Had that been the football police would be in and pulling the trouble makers out.

Yeh, I find Liam's comments on the matter quite disappointing! "I didn't see it. But that's f****** Oasis man, that's rock and roll." Well, if that's Oasis, then I don't want to be associated with it. Pure ignorant shite that comes out of his mouth at times.

Typical Brits, nothing better to do than fight & start on someone 5 to 1, I mean alcohol is to blame here but Liam's got nerve! Little prick had his 2 teeth knocked out because this time no one was having his peanut throwing antics.
Typical stewards quick to throw you out if you go crowd surfing but do nothing when someone's in trouble.
I hope they can ID the basterds who did this!

I was @ this gig & there was very little trouble. The problem was although all press is good press, locally this attack overshaddowed the fact that Oasis were amazing! (although you knew they were in town!!)
This guy got attacked when most people were @ another part of the stadium & the bars were just shutting, there wouldnt have been many security as there would have been little to no need for it in the area outside that this happened. The Video shows nothing really.
Sure I feel sorry for the guy but to be honest I have to agree & support Liams comments! He should have been having it for Kasabian!!

The Video shows nothing really. The attack happend during the Kasabian set and there was loads of people around the place was packed the crowd just went into a circle similar to a crowd of children. Wasn't just this one incident though i was more sickened by the fight beside us and the fact a woman was badly injured falling down the stairs and all the stewards did was laugh before about 5 minutes later more people appeared. Was disgusting
