What part of the album is generally better? The first half or second half?
I'd define the halfway marks of the albums as
Supersonic/Bring It On Down Swamp Song/Some Might Say GITDS/Fade In-Out Little James/Gas Panic Little By Litte/A Quick Peep Meaning Of Soul/GGTIA HHL/Falling Down
I'd say that in general the first half is better. The only exceptions for me are Morning Glory and SOTSOG.

Yeah same for me, DM maybe up to 3/4 of the album, but generally the first half.

I believe I've read somewhere in past that the first 3 tracks of the album would be the key (in general) to see if it's a good album to "sell" or not. If it's true or not, I'm not sure.

Usually the first three tracks are brilliant because by the 4th track, the listener's attention span starts to wane. Perhaps why the first half of DOYS is so good compared to the second half?

For me, all the albums except HC and DOYS are equal in both halfs. Both of which have a stronger first half. BHN, Slightly leaning towards the second half but its debatable. DM. Every song is just amazing, its impossible. MG has DLBIA and wonderwall against SMS and CS, tough one. SOTSOG has FITB GLIA WFL - vs Gas Panic WDIAGW Roll It Over.
Id agree that theyre all up for debate but seriously, DM, I have never heard an album thats as good as it. Its just fucking insane.
