If I was a United fan (thank f*ck I'm not because I'd probably be a dickhead like most of 'em) I'd be happy to get that kind of money for a player that doesn't even want to play for the club.
IMO, ye're getting money for nothing because his performances have been poor of late (by his standards) and getting worse. He clearly didn't want to be there. I'm sure this would of continued into next season and it would of eventually poisoned the team spirit. Ye could buy two or maybe three world class players from that kind of money.
For the record, I'm very happy to see the back of him. He's a great player, one of the best I've seen but his attitude is terrible. He thought he was bigger than the club. Every time he was challenged on the pitch he threw a hissy-fit if he didn't get his way. He has a disgusting manner. My girlfriend can't look at him. Every time she see's him she says she get's a turn in her stomach. I know that has nothing to do with the situation but I just thought I'd say it because I think it's amusing. LOL!

United have some work to do in the transfer market, that's for sure. If Carlos follows Ronny out of the exit door then I reckon we're shopping for at least a centre-forward and a pair of decent wingers. And I can't help but wonder how long Nani and Anderson will want to stick around now Ronaldo's packed his bags.
Add to that the imminent departures of Giggs, Scholes, Neville and VDS, all of whom can't be more than a year or two from retirement, and I think we're going to be seeing a lot of changes this season and next.

Meh bout time. He was fucking up the dynamic of the team with fergie playing Rooney out on the wing and shit cause he wouldn't track back. Also Ronaldo contributes absolutely nothing to the team besides goals. We can easily replace goals. Im sure fergie has know for awhile who'll he go for to replace him. I have a feeling this season will be a big one for tosic.

I might point out that scoring goals is the single most effective way of 'running the show'. And I can't understand how you honestly believe that Ronaldo contributes nothing more to a team than goals. There's no player more devastating with the ball at his feet.

Theres a difference between scoring and running the show. Takes alot more than scoring goals to run the show. Also he isnt the most devastating player in the world with the ball at his feet. Every now and again he'll score a long range shot cause he takes so many. Same with his free kicks he scores 1 for every 70 he blows over the bar. Ronaldo has never single handly destroyed a team like a messi or kaka. Ronaldo playing well depends on the other players in the team playing well. He can't grab the game by the scruff of the neck and take charge.

I do pray to God that this will go horribly wrong for Ronaldo and Real Madrid. Ronaldo represents everything that is wrong with football. How is anyone a fan of somebody who seriously believes that footballers are treated like slaves?
I don't remember reading my history books that claimed that slaves in the South prior to the American Civil War were being paid well in excess of £100,000 a week, aswell as having flash cars and supermodel wives.
I haven't even scratched the surface on why this guy is a total dick. In a few years, United will be looking at this deal thinking 'wow, we really got more than our money's worth out of this prick'.
